.....when Nortje hit the scene he was up at 148ks regularly. He seems have dropped into the low 140s. Same is true of Rabada, who has nonetheless closed the pace gap with Nortje.

Are we coaching the X factor out of our fast bowlers. If Starc can hit 160ks and Archer can dominate the WC with bouncers why are we setting for a good line and length?

Nortje was bowling close to 160 in the IPL My guess is that there is little point trying to bowl 150 plus in Pakistan Nortje was bowling 150 against the SL’ns in SA It’s Rabada’s first game back in hell knows how long

Mozart

Less than 3 months after Nortje bowled the fastest recorded ball in cricket history at 156,2 kph - you come up with this one.  Nortje routinely bowl at above 150 k[h on SA  piy\tches and Rabada bowls at between 146 and 150.

In Pakistan and the rest of the sub-continent pitches more accuracy is required  because of the pitches and the bowlers tend to be more effective at a slower pace in TESTS,

Boucher watched Pollock bowl on a perfect length for too long.

We have two true express bowlers in the team. Been long since that was the case...but we want them to bowl within themselves.

Problem is, when you do eventually let them off the leash they over compensate and telegraph everything.

If you have a pair that are both that quick, only on very rare occasions is nasty not the answer.

My opinion on Kagiso is still the same...he needs to get angry more often. Much more often.
