This must be the worst ever performances of the English team in the history of the WC.  It was really a horror story to see the putrid batting of the English team - Afghanistan would have put up a better show.
Southee bowled excellently and the batting of McCullum was a joy to watch - for the rest it was absolute rubbish and I think on that kind of performance England may not even make the quarter-finals.

Woeful POMS or awesome Kiwis?

Are the Kiwis that good that they can't be put under pressure? I can't wait to see them up against Oz, that's when we'll know for sure.

Oh yes, the great KP.The bargain basement IPL player no-one wanted ?
Rather be humiliated without him in the team than win with him in it and that is a cold hard fact. But I'm sure the old blabber mouth will have something to say about things...mostly regarding himself, of course, as they always do

IPL player no-one wanted.......Hmmm I think not.......he is by far your best player and would have given you a little hope and fight........the team looks like a bunch of girls playing at the moment......there is not a backbone amongst that lot.

KP must be loving it given how much he hates the English set up run by a bunch of clueless old farts

The Delhoi Daredevils paid a fortune for Pietersen last year and thought they would rather let him go and save some money that way.   That was the sole reason why they let him go.   He was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for the upcoming season - so there is no way that  Pietersen is "The bargain basement IPL player no-one wanted" as alleged by you.

Hmmmm.....go and check the facts people. He was sold for his reserve price, which was around £250,000, I believe.Look at how much the rest of the top players went for, those whose company he puts himself amongst. Also, look at how his stock has fallen in monetary terms from last year and the year before.

And then get back to me please.n

Who gives a toss about the IPL, we are talking about a class bat being left out of the England side and as a result look how pathetic and embarrassing they are?

Hang on....you just said you thought I was either lying or mistaken when I said he was bargain basement. I have now given you more facts and you clearly don't care about it any more ! Well I do care. I don't appreciate being called a liar.
It has nothing to do with old big head being left out of the side, but more to do with a bunch of players doing a huge disservice to the team and, maybe they should have the axe swinging too ? As we said all along, the ECB needs a root and branch clear out and so does County Cricket. Get rid of the parasites and limit the foreign invasion.Get back to basics.
I can see it coming in all sports actually and not a day too soon.

I didn't like him much,  but he is a top competitor and has won a couple of marches for England that they had no business winning. Few players can say that.
