According to a recent report from The Telegraph, Newcastle United will be renewing their interest in James Maddison this summer.
Not so long ago, Newcastle made their interest in the Leicester City star pretty clear. However, the Foxes weren’t overly interested in selling – which is no surprise given their current position.
Despite the club being in the relegation zone, Maddison has still been able to pick up 19 goal involvements in the league this season. The Englishman has made his case for wanting more from his career, and it certainly seems like Newcastle are ready to give him what he wants.
The Magpies are flying high and by the time we reach the end of the campaign, there’s an excellent chance they’ll be playing Champions League football. That would serve as a huge step up for Maddison and although he’ll forever be known for his time with Leicester, there’s room for even further growth up north.
