Newcastle United are interested in signing Samuel Chukwueze from Villarreal in the summer transfer window, according to Rudy Galetti in GiveMeSport. The Italian journalist has claimed that Newcastle are among the clubs who want to sign the 24-year-old Nigeria international winger.
The reporter said: “Chukwueze is on the radar of some Premier League clubs. Also, in Serie A, AC Milan are really interested in him. But, the price tag, which is set at around €30m (£26m), is considered a little high for the Italian club.
“Coming back to England – Arsenal, Liverpool, and Newcastle United are on his tracks.”
Chukwueze is a versatile player who can operate on the right of a forward line or as a traditional winger. The 24-year-old Nigeria international made 27 starts and 10 substitute appearances in La Liga for Villarreal last season. It will be interesting to see if Newcastle actually make a bid for the forward in the summer of 2023.
