Yes, come on England. I'm counting the minutes to kick-off.

I’d say England are the underdogs, so they might feel less pressure, which could actually work to their advantage.

0--0 at the hydration break. Quite a scrappy bad-tempered game so far but I guess that was to be expected. Argentina very dirty in my opinion.

Come on England!

Half time and it's 0-0.

You get the feeling this is going to have some big flare ups still. Discipline will be key.

Paredes is an absolute thug.

Pretty even game, agree it's a very crappy game. Strikers from both sides are feeding off crumbs, I fear the Argies have the better long range strikers.

England has been under serious pressure since they scored. The game has really opened up

England are 1-0 up a the 2nd hydration break but they're just defending. They need to get some control of the midfield.

Now Tuchel compounds the problem by taking off goalscorer Gordon and bringing on another central defender.

I don't like this strategy one little bit.

Argentina equalise.

What a pathetic strategy from Tuchel to bring on all his defenders.

England just stopped playing football.

Now England will be playing with 4 central defenders in extra time . . . if they get there. Guehi, Stones, Konsa and Burn.

It's a joke. Why not stay positive and just keep doing what it was that got you a 1-0 lead?

I am so pissed off.

That's it, Argentina score and England are out.

Worst substitutions I think I've ever seen.

Well played Argies.

After England opened the scoring, they had 12% of the possession.

What a capitulation.

Bargies….brilliant win by a great team. Messi’s crosses were inch perfect. You never see him snarling just producing exquisite soccer . Kane was a nothing Burger. Screw Starmer.

Slick, smick and pow! Messi’s right foot cross was worthy of a man ranked the number one player of all time.

Horrible team for this neutral to support but Argies deserved their victory.
Viva Spain, hopefully Batshit will be presenting the cup to his least favorite Euro country

Well done to Argentina, they are worthy winners, and best of luck to both teams in the final. It’s been a pleasure sharing posts with BB and Rooinek; I’ve really enjoyed your insights and observations. Rooinek, your knowledge of players’ names from so many different teams is impressive. Cheers, and here’s hoping we can do it all again in four years’ time.
