A deserved victory for Spain. They were the better team for most of the game but gave away their lead in the dying seconds. Only to reverse the medicine at the end of extra time. Carvahal’s dive tackle at the death was quite a price to pay though….he won’t be there for the semis.

Tony Kroos’ tackle which forced a Spanish player from the park near the start was the low point of an otherwise terrific game.

Spain is the only team who has shone at this tournament.

Have to say this has been an underwhelming Euro Champs so far. No individual has put his stamp on the tournament, big name teams like England, France and Germany just haven't pitched up and the only excitement has come from the performances of minnow teams like Georgia, Turkey and Austria.

Hope we see some more inspiring games in the rest of the knockouts because so far it's been a let down. As for the winners, I can't look beyond the very young unbeaten Spanish.

Don’t know if you’re getting Copa America, but some very fast paced games with equally matched teams….better than the euros thus far.

Come on England!

Big opportunity for England to get a huge monkey off their back on Sunday but I fear Spain are the better team.

It's been a m ediocre tournament in terms of excitement so far but the final could make up for all that and make it very memorable.

Come on England!
