What you do know about history is as flawed as it could be.   In 306 Constantine relocated the capital of the Roman empire to Constantinople and it became the Headquarters of the Greek  Orthodox church.     From that time the Church branched out to Ukraine as well with the second most important center of the Church after Constantinople being Kiev .   During that period there were ideological difference  between the Roman Catholic Church and there were continuous efforts to unite the two Churches - none succeeded.   When the Golden Hoard Mongolians captured Kiev in the early 14th century the Headquarters of the church was moved from Kiev to Moscow.

With the fall of Constantinople in 1452 the name of the city changed to Istanbul.   The head of the Imperial family fled to Rome and relinquish control of the Greek branch of orthodoxy moved to Moscow.   The Greek component regarded  the Metropolitan of Moscow as head of the church,  Pope Paul 11 saw the death of the first wife of  Vasili 111 - Grand Prince of Moscow - an opportunity to unite the Church and merge it  when Vasili's first wife died in 1467 - the pope suggested that Vasili should marry  the niece of the last Emperor - Zoe Palaeologus - to allow her to get her to convince the Grand Prine to accept the authority of the Pope as head of all Christians.   It did not work out and the Christians in Greece, Serbia and other Balkan countries became religiously tied to the Russian Orthodox Church.

The Greek, Serbian and Ukraine branches of Orthodoxy have close ties to the Russian Orthodox Church.   That is why Zelensky banned the functioning of the Orthodox Church in Kiev as a result of that situation.

What is a conspiracy theory and what is happening in the World at present?    Religion has been in the world for instance since the beginning of human development and I have always stated that it has zero to do with religion at all.  I always said that religion is divisive and is used by politicians and bureaucrats to attack the most important issue we face in the world today    It is used  to undermine DEMOCRACY in the world at present.   

Whenever there is opposition to what leftist politicians aimed to do are based on what can best be described as conspiracy theories.     Take for example the example that is happening in  front  of our eyes today.   For instance  in the EU there is a law being prepared to make any thinking against what the politicians and bureaucrats wants to see implemented to prevent people from thinking what they believe in and to criminalize opposition to the EU regime.  If  people oppose governments it is to be criminalized.
