I checked up a bit and found that te present Airforce 1 and 2 dated from the 1991 amd in fact should have been replaced years ago.

The plane involved is for use by the President in future and replaces Airforce 1 - so the Department of Defense own the donated plane, Trump may have been wrong to receove the gift as nothing comes without a price - and nobody knows what that price would be, but both the House and Senate should be dilligent if such a situation arrises.

On the other hand it would have costed the US Government a fortune to replace the two planes. So Trump did accept the plane as a direct cost saver especially insofar as replacement costs are concered.

No - the plane does not and neve will be long to the Trump family - so unles Trump Junior became President or even VP he wil never own he plane. That is not the ase now and never will be. Th plne s regisered a owned by the Defense Department - end of story. That leaves open he replacement of Air Force 2 - but Trump will probably get that replacement from Boeing with the increased orders for planes for the US Defense Force and the also for the Nay for use of more modern placnes on air craft carriers as well..,

Most of the Air Force fighter jets used by the USA and NATO are F16's - planes that was designed and was indeed regarded as miracles in the 1980's far outstripping the then Russian and Chinese Air Force planes - but by now became far less effective than the more advanced Russian and Chinese planes developed subsequently. That is where Trump in 2019 started ordering planes in repalcement plans and Biden fucked up royally when he was President. In fact the planes actually delivered since 2020 had design problems that caused half of the delvered planes not being used and some of the new planes already crashed as a result. So with Trump back those problems will have to be eliminated and reasonable purchase prices being negotiated without the normal 15% kick backs being catered for in the purchase prices. Incidentally negotiations has already started as to dealing with the isue and the new plane deliveries will start soon - while those of the planes with design problems will be udated and be then repaired and more usable,

Aside from that the retraining of pilots to operate and use the more mdern planes will have to be eehanced,

As to Boeing and other plane manufacirers - the Biden Administration athorized for instance the rocket system that would be used to get the astronauts stranded in space and they failed in that - so Trump ordered Musk to deliver a rocket that could be used to save the two stranded people and they did that successfully. so their are major negotiations needed with Biden removed for oher aircraft .manufactorers to get effective planes being provided.

That leaves the field wide open for delivey of a plane to replace Airfirce 2 as well at minimal cst to the axpayers, .
