When Trump was campaigning for election in 2015 and 2026 he coined two phrases namely -
* America First; and
* Make America Great Again - MAGA
Those two phrases has grown beyond Trump and is now the approach of the Republican Party as a whole in the USA. Even though Trump often endorse candidates who support the concept - they use the same approach towards issues even if not endorsed by Trump. Most Republican candidates strive for endorsement by Trump - but that does not ensure election - since the concept has grown beyond Trump.
Any candidate collaborating with the Democrats are doomed and will have great difficulty in getting Reublican Party support - even though they are trying to support some RINO's like Murkowski and Cheney - but these would hve a hard time getting voter support from the Republican base.
The problem the Republican Party faced in the past was there were no real differences between the Democratic Party and the Republican Party. That has changed because -
* the Democratic Party has moved to the extreme leftwing socialist approach; and
* the Republicans adopted a ore centrist approach in Government.
Career politicians in the USA has become part of what is called the "Washington Swamp" - a situation where politicians enrich themselves at the expense of the electorate. They get kickbacks from institutions getting Government contract or buy shares in companies on an trading basis. That is why the all for term limits are getting stronger -
* the President and Governors do have two-term limits;
* but the problem is with Senators and members of the House - where career politicians hrive.
Before the members become corrupted by he swamp they should be send packing. The real fact is that the Democrts thrive in bribery and corruption - while some swamp Republicans are in the same boat. So what should the term limits entail -
* Senators two 6 year terms;
* House members six two year terms.
Hope the ideal position is reached - those involved in kickbacks should be charged with bribery and corruption at present rife in Washington. .
