DA leader says ruling party reintroducing racial discrimination on a scale not seen since 1994

Parched Earth: ANC introduces race quotas for water use

1 June 2023

Hot on the heels of newly-gazetted draft Race Quotas designed to ban entire groups of South Africans from employment in certain sectors and provinces, the ANC government has now also gazetted race quotas that will determine access to water on the basis of skin colour.

See the regulations here (page 91 - 92 of the National Government Gazette).

The draft regulations, published by Minister of Water Senzo Mchunu on 19 May, introduce race quotas for the allocation of water use licences, which are vital to the survival of businesses in sectors such as agriculture, forestry and mining.

Under the ANC’s new water race quotas, applicants that use more than 250 000 m3 or withdraw more than a set minimum amount from streams need to meet strict racial quotas in order to get access to water – the single most critical resource required for life, livestock, agriculture and industry. Depending on the size of their water need, farmers or companies that have not “allocated” between 25% and 75% of its shares to what the regulations call “blacks,” will be denied access to water.

The consequences will be particularly devastating for the farmers who feed us all. 60% of South Africa’s water resources are currently used by agriculture to grow the food we all eat.

Under these water race quotas, livestock will be left to die from thirst because a farmer has the “wrong” skin colour. Fields will go fallow because those who till it are “undesirable.” Hundreds of thousands of workers, from all backgrounds, will lose their jobs as the parched agriculture and mining industries wither and die.

It is now beyond all doubt that the ANC, led by Cyril Ramaphosa, is reintroducing racial discrimination across all sectors of society on a scale not seen since 1994. They are doing so in order to divide and rule. The ANC knows it is on track to lose its majority in 2024 and it hopes to use race quotas to incite racial division for narrow electoral gain.

They do not care one bit about the consequences this will have for an economy that is already crippled by ANC-engineered load shedding, the collapse of our currency, and growing capital flight.

South Africans must not let them succeed. Race quotas will be the death knell for an economy already on its knees. I therefore repeat my call for a society-wide defiance campaign against ANC race quotas. We must all object to both the Employment Equity Amendment Act’s regulations, as well as the ANC’s proposed water race quotas.

The DA will continue to spearhead opposition to these destructive regulations. We are already preparing to challenge the Employment Equity Amendment Act’s quotas in court. We are also compiling our objection to the water race quotas and taking legal advice with an eye to declaring water race quotas, which will turn our agricultural and mining sectors into a parched economic wasteland, unconstitutional.

Issued by John Steenhuisen, Leader of the Democratic Alliance, 1 June 2023

What a thread.

So basically, due to the lack of infrastructures, human beings are competiting over water with cattle.

Human physiology has not changed that much over the last few hundred thousands years, hunger and thirst remain a terrible thing.

Liberals have as their main principle trade, which means they consider food and water as trade items whereas historically human beings treated food and water as means of subsistance.

Now in SA equal life conditions, one could wonder what human beings are going to feel thirst when water is provided to cattle  over human beings so cattle could be sold as trade items...

Liberals have engineered a situation, no clue how to reverse it.

And liberals usually claim they place human life above everything else.

They deserve all the poverty coming their way.

Sure. Better to export cattle meat to cash on it and import cheap water.

Liberal mindset.

LOL @ human beings competing with cattle for water

There's enough water to go around. The ANC just can't get it to the people because they buy Audi Q7s instead of pumps and pipes.

No. SA water infrastructures are lacking.

They were planned back in the days when the regime cancelled a large segment of population. So needs to provide for them.

Now that this segment magically came back to existence, water infrastructures are exposed as lacking.

This is how liberals favour animal rights: it is one way for them to put segments of humanity below animals, as liberals think it should.

Let animals drink before human beings, that will teach them.

"No. SA water infrastructures are lacking.

Stop speaking utter shit Trad

My very close mate is extremely high in the water infrastructure department which works directly with the government, and he has shown me pictures that he took of km's of piping that has not been maintained since the ANC took over.... and I mean nothing... nada.... VOKOL... in the last 25 plus years.

Close your eyes to whatever you believe and still keep blaming the white man and apartheid....stupid

The reason for so many water problems in SA lately.... is not just the fact that we have had some of the driest periods on record regarding rainfall, it is actually because of the leaks from non-maintained water infrastructure around the country....when you look at the pics, it is just disgusting.

One project that he implemented, was in a local township, which started consuming massive amounts of water over a timeframe last year..... there were no plumbers from the municipality to repair or fix the leak issues, so he decided to take it upon himself, with his team, to go house to house and resolve leaking toilets, taps.... etc etc anything that meant there was a loss of water.... and he reduced that one areas water consumption in the first month, by over 40%.... because they could not afford to get a plumber themselves, so just left the leaks.

The local municipality was totally against the idea because they said it would not improve anything.... they were just not interested at all.

He also told me of the losing battle that they are fighting in the townships, because they install a community tap today, but it gets stolen within 48 hours, to get sold as scrap metal.

They put km's up of steel "Clear Vu" fencing to prevent children running onto the main roads and highways, and how long does that last..... not long at all, it just gets ripped down and sold as scrap metal.....fuck my neighbour and his kids...

Don't piss and shit on your own doorstep, and then continually blame the White man for your problems.

Your constant bashing and blaming of the White man is hilarious ... and sad

DA you have to cut the water workers some slack because the Audi's they drive are not able to access the terrain to allow them to repair or maintain the water supply or equipment.Plus they do not have a clue on how to perform any type of regular maintenance or emergency repairs.
Donker Afrika is always going to be dark, dangerous and backward.
Unfortunately.
As our ex SA Doctor (who is of African heritage) says and I quote:
"Africa is doomed".
Spot on.

Black Lives Matter when they are the minority. When they become the majority, no race matters.

The evidence shows no black-majority country is going forward - a shame and tragic for humanity.

Too many poor people- who will just vote for a far-left-wing populist - or grifter that makes promises that are impossible to keep.

Corruption is a delicate issue under liberalism.

Corruption usually includes two states: one characterized as noble, the other as vile.

US society

No one should be held in slavery.

Yet institutional slavery.

Corruption or not corruption.

Liberals are unable to tell.

That is the question.
The chicken. The egg.
Which came first.
Yet omelette and spicy wings.

There's no water problem, the problem is with the ANC...the corrupt government who is also responsible for the electricity problem...and the railway problem...and the roads infrastructure problem...everything they touch turns to sh!t, because they are dishonest,  crooked arseholes praying on an poorly educated populace...education,  also their problem...they are an even bigger blight on this country than yhe Apartheid regime...just as racist and much more criminal...this country is going down fast and it ain't the fault of the 8% and still dwindling white race...Stupid Trad trolls well, but his ignorance give it away...I know what a Kiwi would call him.

I am involved in some personal community development projects in previously disadvantaged areas.... and there is one fact that is indisputable... but it will be seen as racist, yet it is factual.

Almost all the support provided to these areas comes from white owned businesses, and nothing comes from black owned companies.....I wonder why.

Next time you see a beggar at the traffic lights, just watch how many black drivers that beggar goes to for a hand out..... he doesn't..... he waits for the white man or lady to pull up in their car, because he knows that in general, the black person does not offer any help or assistance, especially to a fellow black person .

"Cholera, cholera, cholera"

Yeah, and here are the sad facts....

This same community first reported their concerns of the quality of their water in 2005, and continued to do so....

18 years later, and the ANC government has still not responded to these concerns or complaints and now so may people have lost their lives.....

Again, the White man's fault....

It must be such a comfortable life to live, when your go to move is to always blame another race for whatever goes wrong in your life....

Thomas Jefferson, corrupted or not corrupted.

Notions must be tractable and palatable. Or they are useless. People drop the corruption word, they must show its usefulness.

.the corrupt government who is also responsible for the electricity problem...and the railway problem...and the roads infrastructure problem...

SA has deep infrastructure problems. They come from the cancellation of a large segment of the population during their initial design. They were not supposed to service that many people.

Infrastructures are a problem per se in liberal economies. Their initial funding is a pain and their maintenance is another one.

It is all about gains vs loses: letting a pipeline leaking may be more rentable than fixing it.

Tons of ecological problems along the path of oil pipelines as people prefer to let them leak.

But what, liberalism does not assimilate, when a quota person plays the liberal play book, they are corrupted, when a liberal white person does it, they are business savvy. Go figure.

This type of management is not the problem, the problem comes from the size of the infrastructure that is missing. Leaks and lack of maintenance suddenly appear as lost resources whereas when the size is set properly, they are mere losses that do not offset the gain of letting them be.

Almost all the support provided to these areas comes from white owned businesses, and nothing comes from black owned companies.....I wonder why.

Nothing surprising when looking at various economical figures. None of them depicts SA society as a thriving society, with quota people owning business of all sizes.

Next time you see a beggar at the traffic lights, just watch how many black drivers that beggar goes to for a hand out..... he doesn't..... he waits for the white man or lady to pull up in their car, because he knows that in general, the black person does not offer any help or assistance, especially to a fellow black person.

The same scene goes anywhere: a beggar must be able to spot people who are able to give.

In places where they are only white people, beggars do not ask every single person, they ask people they perceive as providing the more chances. Owning a car may not be a sign og wealth, apparently, being a white person is one much better sign.

Mere strategy. One that reflects the reality of the SA society.

When collecting things from other people, being signatures, donations, promises of purchases etc the strategy is to select the target providing the most chances.
