"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Trump administration is quietly pushing ahead with a bid to create a new security and political alliance with six Gulf Arab states, Egypt and Jordan, in part to counter Iran’s expansion in the region, according to U.S. and Arab officials." Seems like a damn good idea and certainly a vastly better concept than the Arab Spring which ended up being code for advancing the Muslim Brotherhood. Just another example of how much more adult the current administration is.

“Just another example of how much more adult the current administration is.” You just need to watch and listen to two different Secretaries of State in front of Congress, ie Hillary Clinton v Mike Pompeo. It is like a pre-schooler compared to a professor.

It is hard to argue with results. 4% GDP is fantastic, and the economy should be top of the priority list for any politician.
However, is it worth getting involved with the Arabs? Today's ally is often tomorrow's terrorist. It seems the biggest gripe the Arabs have, is outside involvement from the west.
They don't like the West at all or anyone that is not Muslim. (Even if they don't like other Muslim Groups either).
Irak was a disaster, and it helped new Terrorist groups get into power. It might just be best to ignore them and let them sort out their own problems. Even if the West's intentions are 100 genuine (e.g. not motivated by oil deals).- the involvement is never appreciated by the Arabs, and grudges are held. Perhaps these states should just have self-determination to decide their own fates.

  • A fox and a scorpion both need to cross a river.
  • The scorpion asks the fox for a ride on its back as it cannot swim.
  • The fox refuses saying “no you’ll sting me”.
  • The scorpion replies that it wouldn’t, as they would both drown.
  • The fox agrees and allows the scorpion to ride on it’s back.
  • Half way across the river the scorpion stings the fox.
  • As the poison takes effect on the fox and it starts to sink it asks the scorpion, “Why?”
  • “Why did you sting me, now we are both going to die?”
  • The scorpion replies, “I couldn’t help myself, it’s in my nature”.

Sharkbokkie disaster happens when you have radical muslim sympathisers like Clinton as Sec of State (plus her PA Huma Abedin being a radical muslim linked to terororist groups. She wanted to increase muslm imports by 550% on Obummers already high number)) and a muslim traitor Hussein Obummer as president and a muslim Cia director in John Brennan.

Those circumstances would definitely and certainly dd lead to disastrous ME policy - eg 150 Billion dollars given to Iran and them being put on a path to nuclear weapons etc etc.

Many Arab states hate Iran and want them contained. Iran is the biggest exporter of state terrorism in the world.

How bad is Trump making Obummer look. Try Obummer and then hang the treasonous snake.

@SB. Don’t we have a chicken and egg situation here? Isn’t everybody involving themselves in everybody’s business? Aren’t the Arab nations trying to spread Islam with all it’s tentacles across the world? Think about the Muslim Brotherhood who was led right into the WH by Obama. Think about the real reasons behind the ousting of Ghadafi. Going back to the Benghazi issue. There was one question that was never answered. What was the US still doing in Benghazi after everybody pulled out? Even the UK after an attack on their embassy. They kept asking the question over and over during the hearings and never once did they get a strange answer. Not even from Hillary who was Secretary of State, at the time of the events. Everybody knew the answer but those responsible never answered the question.

Plus how many requests were there to Clinton to beef up security. That Clinton is not in prison for this utterly disgraceful conduct re Benghazi alone defies reason.

Forget about locking up Hillary. It’s never going to happen. Not to her, Comey or whoever everybody wants to see behind bars. They are all just spokes in a much bigger wheel.

@Ceradyne, they are getting involved, but it does not mean that anyone else should get involved with them.
I would favour a ban on trade with them, and try to develop a replacement fuel for petrol/oil. They are a violent intolerant culture and they will argue with each other in the meantime.              Rather place sanctions on them and just not trade with them, or get involved an of their issues. Hopefully, this will allow a natural resolution where their own people grow tired of their doctrine- a change for the better .
Sure any unprovoked attacks against other countries by them will be met with counterattacks.

Windpomp why not call it as it is - they are all part of the worldwide globalist wheel.

The big problem we have is who comes after Trump. Don't see anybody around who could stand up to these swine.

I remain very troubled about what happened at Benghazi....now all lost in the fog of war.
