Are we aware of such things without getting paranoia

My missus sent me this...she is back again in her homeland...family business and her mother died some months and problems relating to 2 properties (apartments left to her to be shared with her brother...properties in Moscow and he's not really playing the game) inheritance is full of greed...these properties are just flats in SA terms...cheap in international standards...about +/- USA dollars 250 to 300 thousand each but are sold in dollars and rand/dollar (approx R7,3 mill)  but in SA rands quite substantial...so we're apart...I don't want to get involved because her brother and dad don't like me because I'm foreign and suspicious of me...but that's a very complex issue...I really do like Russians, have good friends there... some of them are very nice people but family is different.
