The invasion of Ukraine by Russia stemmed from the breach of the Minsk agreement of 2015 - during which it waas agreed among others by all negotiating parties that -
* Ukraine would remain as a united Republic retaining its pre-coup borders bar the Crimea that would remain part of Russia;
* that since the Ukraine constitution was scrapped after the unconstitutional coup engineered and financed by the US Government a new federal-based constitution would be submitted to the Ukraine voters to protect the human rights of all Ukrainians would be considered by the voters for the necessary consideration and hopefully approval;
* that Ukraine will not become a member of NATO.
The negotiating process was led by Germany and France, However, for their own reasons the USA decided under Obama to sabotage the agreement and the necessary referendum to be conducted under international supervision never took place. What became clear was that Ukraine - being the most corrupt country in Europe - became the hunting ground for US Politicians iro corruption and kickback of US Aid assistance to them. The Ukraine Government elected in 2015 got millions in aid from the Obama Administration and in 2017 from the Trump Administration. When it became clear in 2018 that the USAID money is being looted and n constructive benefit for aid-receiving countries emerged from Grant Funding - Trump froze all assistance to foreign countries to allow for investigating processes that would ensure that aid money is in act used for the purposes it was given.
In the USA there were a number of leading politicians involved in Ukraine corruption - those being Biden, Pelosi, Schumer and Schiff. The freeze on US AID was in fact only effective from March 2019 and when enquiry on the issue was launched by Trump the corrupt individuals started a cover-up of their own misdeeds by launching a fake impeachment process, Trump could not do much for getting the Ukraine straightened out and the Minsk agreement was a crude feature of the Biden Administration - following the example Obama set in 2016. The undermining of the agreement was done through US Government encouraging the Ukrainians to not adhere to the agreement and take a more aggressive approach to Russia. the kickbacks became back in a strong way with the USA pumping more money into Ukraine.
The propaganda came in that Ukraine is winning the War against Russia - but the truth is beginning to get home. Ukraine is NOT winning in the War irrespective of the weaponry provided by .the USA and the EU countries - the latter being more of a nominal military assistance program compared to the USA. The story of experts now is that it is an Unwinnable one for Ukraine and that they should go back to the negotiating table and this time the agreement should be implemented. Whenever some progress is made Biden interferes with some horrendous statement.
