I always regard religion as a personal issue where people goes to pray and where they find peace. Some people think that religion should never be practiced - but that is impossible since most people on earth still belong to religious institutions.
Since last year there was a series of attacks on churches, mosques and synagogues with bloody consequences and or vandalizing of churches and it seems as if there is no end to it.
The USA
There has been attacks on Christian Churches - mainly frequented by African Americans - in various states in the USA.. This was mostly racist in nature by extreme neo Nazi elements. In eight days 3 churches were burned down in Louisiana in 8 days, The Trump Foundation is apparently donating money for the rebuilding of the churches.
* The attack on the Powys Synagogue - San Diego - 11 killed
* Attack on synagogue in San Francisco - 1 killed. 3 wounded.
ISIS have issued a list of thousands of churches with addresses to be attacked during periods of religious holidays and the USA has upped police surveillance otherwise the last attack should even have more serious consequences.
New Zealand
The mass killing of people (52 killed) in two mosques in Christchurch was a gruesome attack carried out by neo-Naziss
France
Over the past year alone 830 churches in France was vandalized and there are some question marks as to the burning down of the Notre Dame in Paris. The French Government will try its utmost in avoiding the real reason for the fire and will come up with all kinds of reasons other than terrorism - if it was it holds ghastly consequences for both the Government and large Musl;im community in France.
The only killings were when a parson and a worshipper as beheaded by a Muslim fanatic.
Sri Lanka
These attacks happened in three Churches and simultaneously on hotels in Colombo. There were 352 people killed in this horrific attack. These attacks were initiated and made by a fanatical Muslim Group associated with ISIS
Egypt
There has been constant attacks on Coptic Churches in Egypt and murder of churchgoers in this Muslim country is frequent.
It is clear that fanatics on religious grounds are behind all church attacks and one wonders what the modern world has come to. Everybody preach peace - and then mostly fail to condemn the perpetrators. Is it not time that people start to respect life and stop the rot that is part of a hate campaign leading to murder of innocents?
