Are you nuts as well as stupid.   Do you believe that the president of any democracy has a right to have the Police spy on the election campaign of an opposition party,    What would happen if the British Prime Minister try that stunt.

What Politico tries to do is to try and cover up a disgrace in any democratic country and the  worst scandal ever in the history of the US, in which the media played a major role and is now disgraced    It was not the election spying only that represented a scandal - it was using totally invented BS to start three years of investigation into the Russian Hoax  for three years after the election to undermine the Trump Presidency and that was also started by Obama.  

Don't think Obama and Biden is in the clear yet,   Barr said they are not under investigation at present - but that may change depending on the evidence coming out in the string of criminal cases coming up,  

Whatever you say the Obamagate designation was the only thing the most useless President ever in the history of the US will be remembered for,.   Add to that the most blatant disregard for control of corruption under his administration and you get to a mafia operation from inside the Whitehouse.                  

I am sorry for you two because you were two people on site that always believed the BS that the media spouted and now you continue to dream on about the same BS,   Obama had no right to use the FBI and  CIA to spy on the Republican Party and he did.   That is  worse than Nixon did and they called it Watergate -so Obamagate will stick with a  President that achieved zero during his 8 years in office, otherwise than allowing bribery and corruption to run riot and using the Judiciary to cover it up.    Would you rather call him the Zuma of the USA - he did the same as Zuma did to SA.

Obama may never be charged for anything - the USA did not do that in the past - they did not do it to Nixon - so they would not do it to Obama.   The reason is that traditionally they do not do anything to ex-Presidents,   But that is not a 100% rule and it depend entirely on -

*   the extent of Obama's involvement in the spying debacle a lot of people will go to jail for; and also 

*    the Hunter Biden issue in Ukraine and China which the  FBI is dealt with at last - thanks to the DP and their impeachment debacle.

When you read beyond the first two paragraphs of the quoted article:

However, Barr did not completely reject the White House and Trump campaign’s current “Obamagate” obsession; he simply cautioned that those expecting prosecutions of high-level political figures are likely to be disappointed. “Not every abuse of power, no matter how outrageous, is necessarily a federal crime,” he said.

“We saw two different standards of justice emerge: One that applied to President Trump and his associates, and the other that applied to everybody else,” Barr said. “We can’t allow this ever to happen again.”

In his remarks Monday, Barr faulted “the law enforcement and the intelligence apparatus of this county” for becoming involved in promoting “false and utterly baseless” claims that Trump colluded with Russia during the 2016 election.

“ Wray stood by silently during Barr’s comments.  “

None of the above means that anything is being dropped like a hot potato. Not in the least. Unless comprehension is not your strong suit. 

Was it a joke to spy on an opposition political party by the FBI at the behest of Obama?  That can never be a joke - of allowed to go on it could destroy democracy,   However, you do not support democracy at all - so why should I mention it.as a deterrent.     

Barr is a man under enormous pressure. He is dealing with  opposition from Democrats within the Justice Department and the full weight of the media. But he is forging ahead, investigating the most obvious illegalities first.

He is a legal ‘scientist’ and a very clear thinker. The best hope to restore faith in rule of law in the USA.
