Yes you can't force anybody to believe. You can't make anybody born again. You personally can't save anybody.
As for religion it is worthless. No religion can save you. Only Christ the savior can do that. You are not saved by joining a Church or good works. You are either born again and have come to know Him or you are none of His.

Jesus Christ is God the Son. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father but by ME he said. Christ is the creator of all things. Through Him everything was made.
He has no equal, no competitors. He will return to rule this world for a period. Every knee and every shall bow and acknowledge Jesus the Christ is LORD, to the Glory of the Father. He will reign.
