In German provincial Elections the CDU party lead by Merkel did poorly in Saxony-Anhalt, Baden-Wurtemberg and Rhineland Palitinate where her party has dropped by the following percentage points:-
Rhineland-Palitinate - Down 2,7%Baden-Wurtemberg - Down 11,5%Saxony-Anhalt - Down 3,3%
Her partners in the coalition governing Germany has also not done well as is seen by the following:-
Rhineland-Palitinate - Gained more 1,6%Baden-Wurtemberg - Down 10,3%
Saxony-Anhalt - Down 9,9%
The Right-wing Party (AfD) made major gains in the elections as is indicated by the following:-
Rhineland-Palitinate - 12,6%Baden-Wurtemberg - 15,1%
Saxony-Anhalt - 24,2%
The above is not good news for Chancellor Merkel. Opinion polls indicated 48% of the voters wants her out. Her coalition partners in Bavaria is severely critical of her Immigration Policy.
There was a car bomb explosion in Berlin this morning. If that was terrorist-related then Merkel is doomed - she will be out in three months time.
