The  Economist tracker has  been one of the more reliable predictors in recent times.

In September Trump took the lead, which widened to 3 points in January. But post Biden’s State of the Union address the gap narrowed. And finally Biden has move ahead by a point…a 4 point surge since January.

All this has happened before the public is inundated with Trump’s treasure trove of disastrous statements. Biden is more top of mind, but pretty soon we will see a wave of material reminding voters why they rejected Trump in 21.

Amazingly dumb, Hailey could have taken the fossil Biden with ease, comfortably led him in the polls. Instead Republicans believe in the tooth fairy yet again. 

The polls usually seem to underestimate Trump, like in 2016 and again in 2020. 

In the current political and economic landscape of America, Trump could still win. 

Trump's MAGAism attracts white working-class people who have become anti-establishment -not just left or right wing. Trump brings voters to Republicans that they would not normally get.
Trump is divisive and combative- so he appears anti-establishment. 

America has problems, but so do other so-called 1st world countries like the UK.

I see that in the UK two of the biggest Telecoms may merge into one company. This will increase shareholder profits by reducing competition while reducing jobs.
It is as if the economies are being optimised for the richest 3% of society that own shares while screwing everyone else over.
Many of the politicians are shareholders or paid off by them (legally or illegally)

The West is economically becoming more authoritarian- and the social conflict in say the US may be a result of this.

If the party gains power and can then elect a leader, competent people would emerge, as it does for Speaker . By the way the House sent a drat act to the Senate - which the Senate pretended to deal with and included all Biden's pet projects instead put that for signature.    Now the House is in uiproar because they blamed Johnson for what the Senate did.    That may end up in the Supreme Court  though since it included also the Ukraine grants of $60 million dollars., which the House still  have to consider based Bill supposedly have to be considered  and if he Senate controlled by the Democrats drastically change an Act presented by the House it should be returned to the House for consideration and not sent to Biden for signature.    .        .    .    .   .      .      .

I would also prefer another candidate - but not the two you are obviously supporting?   Fact is I still support Desantis - but definitely not Biden and Trump or Haley - but  for a candidate to be appointed by the Republicans as candidate you must have support of the working class and the poor and Haley does not have it - nor does  Desantis.    The Republicans can win nothing without  that suipport and Haley would be a disaster for them.    Without the support of the labor and poor base no repulican can ever win any election in the USA. 

The only Democrat I would support is Kennedy - but the Democratic Party decided to screw him and not allow him to run for DP candidate because he does have support of  all sides of the social spectrum.    .    .
