Bozo is facing a decision to either send people back to work and get the economy moving again or to wait until the Covid-19 virus is under control and risk an even more severe recession.

Does anyone doubt what Bozo is going to choose? He doesn't give even the smallest toss about people losing lives, for him it's all about being re-elected and the better the economy, the more he can boast and brag about all his fake accomplishments which seems to make the really stupid and gullible Americans vote for him.

So unless someone in the White House can convince Bozo otherwise, looks like the US will be open for business again as early as Easter, whether Covid-19 is under control or not.

Remember, this is the same idiot who downplayed the virus at every opportunity, called it a hoax, said repeatedly that it was all under control and would never get out of control in the USA and claimed a vaccine would be ready in 2 months . . . it's this same blundering fool who is going to be making the call whether people go back to work or not.

Maybe it's time for the rest of the world to build a wall around the USA and leave them to their own devices. I'd feel a bit sorry for the minority of reasonably intelligent Americans who see through Bozo's blustering bullshit but the slack-jawed Trumpanzee half-wits who worship him and applaud every new self-serving and downright stupid blunder deserve no more.

Redrooi you obviously have no grasp of the situation and obviously didnt read my post regarding Dr Fauci asking the medva not to try and drive a wedge between the President and him.

Now allow Dr Fauci to educate you, to enlighten your darkness. Lets see if any light can penetrate your closed bigoted "mind".

Dr Fauci appeared for an interview on WMAL’s “Mornings on the Mall” in Washington, D.C., where host Mary Walter asked about the 15-day timeline Trump put in place on March 16 but on Monday suggested he will revisit sooner.

“This is something that’s under under very intense discussion. What the president is trying to do is to balance the public health issues with the fact this is having an enormous impact on the economy of the country which may actually, indirectly even, cause an incredible amount of harm and difficulty, even health-wise. So it’s a delicate balancing act which the president is trying to get right. We’re under very intense discussions right now about what the most appropriate timeline is and if we do modify it, how to modify it,” Fauci said. (ya getting a glimmer loons!)

“The president has the awesome responsibility of considering every aspect of this. I just give public health advice completely clean, unconnected with anything else. He has to factor in other things. And that’s the way he operates; he takes in advice from a number of people from a number of different vantage points and then he makes his decision,” the doctor said.

Fauci also applauded the president for the quick actions he took to stem the spread of the virus.

It is extremely important to look at and take into very serious consideration what goes on in other countries. Every country is a bit different in some way, but we learn a lot. We learn a lot from China and we’re learning a lot from Italy. Italy has a very good health care system; Italy has a lot of very good people who are on this and they’re going through a very difficult time, so that’s one of the things that’s very concerning.

I believe Italy got into this much trouble for a number of reasons which hopefully we have avoided, namely the influx of cases from China were not shut off immediately in Italy and one of the important things that we did was the president’s decision to very early on, stop the influx, first from China, and now from Europe, particularly the countries Italy, France and others, the entire European Union. Because one of the things that feeds the country is when you have influx of cases from outside. Once they’re here, then it’s up to us to mitigate the spread throughout the country.

Thank goodness a corrupt clown like Hillary isn't in charge or the wacked out communist loon crazy Berni e or the corrupt, lying senile quid pro Joe!

This makes the US the most irresponsible country in the world. While other countries will shut down to stop the spread of the virus, America will help it to spread.
Then Americans will travel overseas and give it to other people in other countries, undoing the sacrifices by other countries....So a wall around America may is perhaps the best options to contain the virus. At least the Dow "Joanes" sic has increased a few points...
In other news, Prince Charles of "Whales" has just tested positive for Corona Virus.

Once again the Donald is much better informed than Bozo Peeper:

A 2016 study by researchers at Imperial College London found that the last global financial crisis caused 500,000 cancer deaths worldwide between 2008 and 2010. They found a correlation between each percentage increase in unemployment, and an uptick in cancer deaths.

Another study in 2014 by University of Oxford researchers found over 10,000 suicides tied to the Great Recession in the U.S., Canada and Europe

It’s a risk either way.....obviously the whole country won’t be given the all clear. Nor will all the age groups or all the health groups. It will be a selective restart with the timing still up for grabs.

As for fencing off the US....does that include the vaccine which will in all likelihood be found in the USA?

Suicide is a cop-out 99.9% of the time.  Many people have been made bankrupt but come back stronger. Should we all commit suicide anytime a recession happens?
Besides suicide is taking one's own life- it is your own decision. Being taken down by a virus is not your choice.
I can't read the article from the Imperial College, it is a subscription magazine. However, it is hard to imagine cancer is caused by a recession. I can imagine an external event causing psychological damage, but physical seems a bit of a stretch.
Sure, there "could" be a symbiosis between mental and physical, but again that is a bit like committing suicide allowing this.
Besides simple maths will show that Corona deaths could be much, much higher than these alternative numbers...

@Arthur Martha

You are just next door to America. So while Canadians are following the world trend of making a short term sacrifice of self-containment. America will not.

This will totally undo the efforts of Canadians. But Trump has God on his side, so just follow along...

Trump knows that if a big recession happens in America, he will be blamed(correctly) for acting too slow and lying to the American people (or being incompetent). Then he would not be elected again... And the Democrats would get back into power.

With the Republican voters ageing out, that could be their last time running America. The younger generation uses the internet more, so they are exposed to more truth or versions of reality than propaganda through traditional media.

Fox News influence is far less on the younger generation. Younger people are also less religious so Republicans will soon end.

Simple maths shows the virus has  caused approximately 20000 deaths so far. A far cry from 500000. Here’s another data point:

‘For the study, Teresa Seeman, an epidemiologist at UCLA, and her colleagues examined longitudinal data on 4,600 people between the ages of 45 and 84 collected between 2000 and 2012 to look for changes in their blood pressure and fasting blood-sugar levels.

They found that blood pressure increased significantly among all groups during the time period, and blood glucose did too, among certain groups. The authors speculate the reason for the spike was stress—potentially different stressors for different generations. The younger people in the cohort were either unemployed, or those still working were likely wondering how on Earth they would be able to retire. The older people may have owned their own homes and watched the housing market collapse. All of this, they found, likely drove up their stress levels, and blood pressure.

The authors also found that during the recession, many people stopped taking their medications—especially older homeowners, whose major sources of wealth were evaporating. “The evidence suggests that the stresses of the Great Recession took their greatest toll on those who are on medication,” they write—because they may not have been able to afford the drugs anymore.’

And the world continued to function quite normally during previous pandemics....like this one:

Death Toll: 1 million
Cause: Influenza
A category 2 Flu pandemic sometimes referred to as “the Hong Kong Flu,” the 1968 flu pandemic was caused by the H3N2 strain of the Influenza A virus, a genetic offshoot of the H2N2 subtype. From the first reported case on July 13, 1968 in Hong Kong, it took only 17 days before outbreaks of the virus were reported in Singapore and Vietnam, and within three months had spread to The Philippines, India, Australia, Europe, and the United States. While the 1968 pandemic had a comparatively low mortality rate (.5%) it still resulted in the deaths of more than a million people, including 500,000 residents of Hong Kong, approximately 15% of its population at the time.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A conservative estimate of deaths by Corona is hundreds of thousands- even with self-containment.

With Trump's incompetence, it is probably going to be millions.

And let's be honest that is a paper by college students. You or I could make a hypothesis. It does to mean it is correct.

Trump claims he should have worked in the medical field rather than be a politician... By his own admission, he is an incompetent president.

The fact is that Rooinek and SB has a serious case of over-indoctrination,  Trump has shown  much more interest in dealing with people than Obama, Bush and Clinton ever did.   They started the wars he inherited.  He personally contact families who lost people in battles and has been told by advisors that it could be misinterpreted by especially the anti-Trump media,

There is not a single thing that shows as Rooinek stated - he does not care a toss about people.  He does and that is why he is so resected by people he deals with outside of politics.

In any event he acts on advise from experts and do not act as irresponsibly as Obama did in the case of the swine flu outbreak in which 11 000  people died before any action was taken by the Government.        .

Slugger you will then have to live in a world run by "Druggies" "Fags" "non-Belivers" and under Muslim rule.

Trust you realize that with all your Snowflake associates you enjoy the life you have spent your time advocating for.

What a pity it is to think of all the human sacrifices that have been made to preserve our Western civilized way of life and the planet and then have traitors such as you and your type waste it all.

Shame on you.

Just how stupid do you have be to not grasp an economic collapse will be far, far more dangerous that the Chinese virus with a death rate of 0.1 to 0.2% if asymptomatic folk are factored in.

Answer : as profoundly stupid and ill informed as Redrooi and Sharktwit.

Once again these morons quite clearly are not looking at the various facts posted on this board. They remain willfully ignorant. Facts are posted that utterly destroy their BS but they carry on as if they have not heard the truth.

They jabber away like the driveling CNN dupes they are.

It's incredible to realize these two jackasses opine on about everything and get it all wrong consistently.

But tomorrow these thick skinned loons will be back with more BS. They will be corrected as usual, made to look like complete twits and then will start again.

It's hilarious!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Arthur Martha, you are a xenophobic religious bigot.

You must so wish you lived in America. Instead, you live in Canada with people that are more liberal - so you must really hate it- and they you

The US does have some really good people. However, the red necks are backward and just in existence to consume products to help the economy. Fortunately, they are ageing out. The Millenium generation and younger are like 65-70% Democrats, so your time will soon be over...

Trump could be the end of the Republican Party altogether. He is making a very large gamble which is completely different from how other countries are dealing with the situation. If it works he will rightly get credit. If it does not work the Republican party are over ahead of schedule

Here is your master.

@CleverWanker

Fact is you have no clue what is a fact. You are entitled to your opinion, but that is all it is.

The bottom line is that most non-Americans do not like Trump. Only the religious far-right- which are in decline in the first world countries.

Piglosi is destroying the Demorat party. Keep going Piglosi!
