Well Plum, they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so if Bozo gets you all breathless and your heart skips a beat when you see him, knock yourself out. No-one is judging you. Whatever blows your hair back man . . . but I reserve the right to think that he is an ugly, bloated and grotesque old toad who smears make up and fake tan all over his fat face in a vain attempt to make himself appear less repulsive.

Just by the way, you didn't start off saying that you found Bozo more attractive than Jacinda "for a man of his age", you just said he was "passable" while she wasn't . . . no caveats about age or anything. Now suddenly you're trying to give the object of your fantasy an out because he's so much older than she is.
