Russell Brand allegations: Comedian questioned by police over six more sexual offence claims

Comedian Russell Brand has been questioned for a second time by police investigating sexual offence allegations, British media reported Monday.

Brand, 48, was interviewed under caution last week over six “non-recent” allegations, the Press Association news agency reported. Brand was questioned by police in November over three other claims.

London’s Metropolitan Police did not identify Brand but said in a statement that a man in his 40s attended a police station in south London for a second time on December 14.

He was interviewed under caution by detectives in relation to a further six, non-recent, sexual offences,” police said.

British police do not name suspects who have not been arrested and charged.

In September, British media outlets published claims by four women of being sexually assaulted or raped by Brand between 2006 and 2013, at the height of his fame. The accusers have not been named.

\

The comedian, author and Get Him To The Greek actor has denied the allegations, saying his relationships were “always consensual”.

Two UK police forces, the Metropolitan Police and Thames Valley Police, launched investigations against Brand after the claims were published. The BBC, where Brand worked on radio programmes from 2006 to 2008, also launched a review into his behaviour.

Draad

I wonder whether the fact that 49 million people are suffering from food insecurity and consequential starvation does not contribute to incease of deahs of youbnger people in the USA.

SB

The Demcorats use allegations against people who point out their failures in governance and allegations of sexual misconduct is often used to try and discredit critcism.

If Brand did not oppose the Democrat conduct - there would be no allegation of sexual misconduct against him.   I doi not believe that BS  until a peson is charged in a court of law and found guilty.    A woman who accused  Biden of sexual misconduct was so badly treated by the Regime that for hr own safety she fled to Russia for her own safety.

This of course is all nonsense. There are hundreds of thousands of medical scientists in the US, if there was a simple correlation here it would be revealed in a proper article. Watch for the Peeper Ock response.

49 million of their own people living in poverty is a disgrace, but I bet that's the fault of the democrats and especially Biden. Next you will claim the number was zero under Trump.

Goes to show how corrupt American politicians are.

If Trump gets elected will it fix this issue?

The 49 million people started with a reult of inflation that is pushing  up food prices by 20% plus and the food supply situation deteriorated as a result of two issues facing farmers and leading  to them to cut back prosuction.   Commecial farming entails usage of heavy duty equipment  and prices of fuel went through the roof.

The second problems relate to fertilizers - the USA used to import fertilizers from Russia and China.  The Ukraine War  led to sanctions being put of fertilizer importing from Russia and in the end Biden cancelled the fertilizer import ban and the Russians got their benefit  in the end - they raised fertilizer prices by 400%.

The above two issues raised the input costs on farms in a majo way are forced to cut imput costs and in the end food availabe.

Take for an example - an egg in the USA now costs $1,50 per egg.     Six eggs cost $19.    It is so vaulable that the Mexican catels it is extremely profitable to smuggle eggs into the USA.

The fact is there were no starvation for the poor when Trump was President - why did it happen after he left office?    Trump scrapped thousands of regulations the Democrats thrived on it.   The regulatiosn imposed by Biden cost wvery family more than $1180 per month.     If a person earns  $6 000 per month  effectively they have circa $4000 left to meet house costs and  food.   The thing would in the fijrst instance scrapped the needles regulations and retain what is needed to really protect the public and reduce the family cost by $1180 and would elavce that needless administrative  costs will lead to a household saving for at least $1000  spending on food.

Elimination of those costa that will be detrimental to the bureaucracy - but will remove obstacles that would reduce food proces to a reasobale limit.   He did it before 2020 - it worked and  there were not millions of starving people around when Trump ws president.  .

Your deluded, there has always been people living well below the poverty line in America. If you think it is something that has appeared in the last 3 years you are fooling yourself.

In 1959 22.4% of Americans lived below the poverty line.

In 2010 it sat at 15.1% (roughly 45 million people)

There were always poor families and many of them was provided by  food stamps.   Under T rump the number of food steps provisions were more than halved from 7 million people to 2,7 million people,

Where did you get the people living under the breadline from - eg 1959 and 2010?

However, food inflation and increased housing  costs are  what  caused the present situation..

Try Google, but I am sure you will ignore anything that doesn't fit you narrative.

So trump cut the number of people on food stamps, so did he lift those above the level of poverty or just lower the minimum income for those eligible?

(I have no idea either way but if he raised them above the poverty line good on him. As I said before I have never criticized Trump for his policies as I have never followed American politics)

Maybe in his mind, I refuse to blindly follow any prick.

Unfortunately most if not all politicians do not seem to be working for the greater good of everyone.

At last you wrote something  I agree with.   Years ago I read a book in which one chap said "Prostitutes is more honoreable than Politicians".    I have no trust in any politicians.   They are all self-seeking liars.

Trump never was a piltician in his life before - he was a crude New York businessman - and he never changed into a politciann.   That was part of the reason why career-politicians disliked him so much.   That being  said he promised  the working class people he would strive to improve their financial position and he did the unthinkable - he executed his promise.

He still is  no real politician - but despite that the voters voted against him based on media propaganda and now they regretted what they did.   That is why he has so much support in the USA from the working class people and the poor, especially the Blacks and Hispanics - wo used to be the foundation of Democratic Party election victories.    Recent surveys said the Black support for Biden has dropped to 60% from 80% in 2020 and the Hispanics to 42% from 57% in 2020.   Those are the two groups actually accounting for the highest level  poverty in the  USA.

The one thing I couild not understand is that there are 700 000 people living  in tents on sidewalks in US  cities.   They are unemployed and their only income os from crime.   The thing I could not understand why 12% of those people are military veterans fom the USA  Armed Forces.   Those veterans often have psychological poblems directly stemming from the wars they were invovled in. Afghanisatn and Iraq.   When that type of citizens they are discharged from the armed forces, the US Government fail to give any assistance to those people.    It is really sad to see that people who fought for the USA are ending  up on the street where they live under extremely poor conditions  in tents on the sidewalks.

Problem is the cities where most such people live are controlled by the Demcoratic Party and they all claim they are sanctuary cities welcoming all illegal migrants,   with th influx of at least 7 million migrants the problem was that Republican Party States like Tevxas and Arizona initially was badly affected by the Biden Open Boarder policy - when these people started to arrive in cities like Chicago and New York their welcoming of the migrants were antagonistic and now wants grants from the Federal Government to accommodate the migrants to accommodate  and paid them allowances to get food.

Biden know the Repiublican Party demands that the border be closed - so Biden and his avisors linked that issue to a request for funding of the Ukraine War and to Israel. .    So Biden proposaed the following:-

*      $86 billion to nfund the Ukraine Government and provide military assistance,

*      $6 billion for arms supplies to Israel  as well as "humanitarian assistance to Hamas and Gaza

*      $14 billion to improve the systems dealing with the illegal migrants,   It turned out that Biden did not want to close the border, but they want to use  the money to provide accommodation and food to the migrants and not to secure the border.

The Republicans would have nothing  of it.    They voted  $14 billion to assist Israel - specifically banning  humanitarian aid .   They insist that the money for the Border crisis are to be used to  improve border security - not for the purpose to treat migrants better than US citizens.   So they told Biden they would support some fuinding  to assist Ukraine provided he used the $14 billion to secure the Border and effectively close it down.

There are now proposals coming from the Democratic Party to negotiate a new deal on both issues,  - namely funding  of the Ukraine Government and the Closing of the Border issue.

Ugly situation - chances are that the Republicans will not povide aid to Ukraine to the tune of $86 billion requsted by Biden so if Ukraine get $8,3 billion I will be surprised. .   .    .                .       .     .        .
