We were discussing this after watching that brilliant ancient British film made in 1949 starring Alec Guiness..."Kind Hearts and Coronets".

Apparently not until 2003 when this law was changed.

Kind Hearts and Coronets has a dramatic twist at the end and is a must watch, irrespective of your age...probably the most outstanding crime film ever made.
