CANZUK a replacement to the EU?
Eh no.
To quote former Australian prime minister Kevin Rudd "much as any Australian,
Canadian and New Zealand governments of whichever persuasion would do
whatever they could to frame new free-trade agreements with the UK, the
bottom line is that 65 million of us do not come within a bull's roar of
Britain's adjacent market of 450 million Europeans", describing the
idea as "bollocks".
Britain does less trade with those 3 countries than it does with Ireland alone, at some point the Brexiteers will have to face up to reality. Britains total trade with the EU was worth 340 billion pounds with the other CANZUK countries is worth about 37 billion pounds. It can never replace the EU in terms of trade or having the same political influence .

Similarities such as?
If you're referring to language, its the 21st century, its not very difficulty to overcome language differences these days, besides English is the defacto second language in the EU. You know what would be a pleasure from a business perspective, not having to dealing with logistics and expenses of having to ship products thousands of miles and not have to deal with considerable differences in time zones. You might have less paperwork to fill out between CANZUK nations but the UK will have to fill out far more paperwork with the much larger EU as a result.
EU passports are among the best in the world already.
In the absence of trade deal with the EU a trade deal with CANZUK nations would be better than having nothing. But for the UK the benefits are insignificant compared to EU membership benefits.
