I have always liked the Welsh and have admired them in various endeavours, Men of Harlech, rugby players like Gareth Edwards, Phil Bennet, JJ Williams and JPR , Alun Pask, Haydn Morgan and many too many to list also the great military men of valour and their beautiful singing voices from ballad singers like Tom Jones on to their choirs. One of my best fishing buddies was a Taffy, who is now in NZ.

But through this forum I've observed there is always a fly in the ointment. Spiteful, catty and petty individuals...killjoys with problems far bigger than themselves.

Now to take the cake, the Cardiff Philharmonic has cancelled The Tchaikovsky Concert this years concert.

Is this just one of Catty, shallow and spiteful stupidity reactions of some lunatic corruptive measures of certifiable insanity.

Utter insanity...Tchaikovsky died over 100 years ago. Fighting dead Russians, yes it is certifiable...one (no masses) flew over the cuckoos nest.

I rest my case.

"...Spiteful, catty and petty individuals...killjoys ..."

They all like that? Really, I thought it was only this one.

Utter insanity...Tchaikovsky died over 100 years ago. Fighting dead Russians, yes it is certifiable...one (no masses) flew over the cuckoos nest.

So on one hand you think its ridiculous to take a stand against a Russian composer  who's been dead for 100 years, (which it's not by the way, it's nothing to do with Tchaisosvky) but on the other hand you posted the below in another thread.

During 1918 revolution the Bolsheviks captured Tsar Nikolas and his family and murdered them at the house of Ipatiev in (Sverdlovsk) now Ekaterinburg. The White Army was approaching but Nikolas had approached England, in fact his cousin King George V for help...that help never came despite his personal connection. It was easier for British politicians to ignore it for fear of repercussions. That's British politics at it's worse.

So its perfectly fine too hold a grudge against a country for over 100 years , for a political decision made by people long since dead and use that as excuse (along with many others) to attack a completely different country.

I think as you have already said else where its a case of pot, kettle black.

Have neither grudge against the British or Welsh or any nationalty , on the contrary I clearly stated that I have always liked the Welsh. Also like the Irish too and Scots and many nations too, including the Russians and Ukranians, I've met them and know some too.

This has nothing with grudges at all...just the madness that is displayed by specific, leaders politicians and herd mentality right now.

Well, if you can't see the right context, well???

I guess were are simply wired differently. Birds of a feather etc.

I'm from Irish background (Cork) too and have conflicting views on individual incidents too, but it's impossible for me to label and put every isolated incident under one label and in the same box. Both Ulster and Eire (Rep of Ireland) have many sins.

I might be isolated but am never fooled by the status quo. Have my own mind and believe every body should if they are to be free and happy and going with the flow steals each persons true potential.

Please don't try to be contentious, you keep your views and I keep mine. I prefer to be at peace with well balanced folk, believe respect and understanding is needed to get that. Your views, as it appears in my understanding are polarised to a left extreme, mine to the right but not in every category. People are entitled and free to have their own viewpoints and nobody, government, society has the right to steal it and dragoon it, if you get my drift.

I have always enjoyed some of your posts, views and although I don't agree have never intended to insult.

My standpoint on Russia, is affected deeply personal through very close ties and yes I have personal friends and family there too and see these issues on both sides, the west cannot (because their media is blocked) and quite clearly, the west cares, sweet fanny adams, this war has factually been on for more than 8 years now and nobody said much, now all of a sudden hysteria. Russian soldiers went on an operational military manoeuvre to try and quell it, and yes there is a host of other reasons too, but lets not go there, we'll never agree. The truth always comes out over time. I wish for peace and agreement that is responsible and fair.
