It is "speculated" that the UK's death rate is low compared to Europe due to many of the first people here being jabbed by AstraZeneca.

Older vaccine technology may have unknown advantages over mRNA. Novavax has just been approved, and it is an even older technology than the Viral vector from AZ.

It will take about a month to see the impact of Omicron on the death rate in the UK, and if it matches South Africa's lower death rate. (Older population in the UK, but a more vaccinated one).

I originally had 2 doses of AstraZeneca, and more recently a booster of Pfizer. Maybe another booster from Novavax would make it all 3 vaccine technologies to create a lekker poikie kos.

Interesting…..South African death rate under Omicron still less than a fifth of Delta, despite higher case rates. In fact the death rate is scarcely above the May trough.

The consensus under local scientists are that our low death toll is due to up to 70% of the population having prior covid infections...yet the pro vax narrative tells us prior infections does not protect against Omicron you need to be vaccinated ....BTW AZ vaccines were sent back by SA because it was ineffective against the Beta variant in South Africa.

Sharktwat the shots you have had are wasted on you.

No medicine can change your attitude or personality, so you are stuck with it.

Twat forever with or without making excuses.

Farter, the vaccine is for protection against Covid, in case you didn't know.

Tests in the UK appear to show that the booster wears off after 10 weeks... so, the boosters would have to be taken 4 times per year... Most people will lose interest in quarterly vaccinations and wait for new waves before getting a top-up.

A universal vaccine could be 18 months away... One that will work on all variants by providing longer-term protection from being infected- not a flimsy few months of before low antibody levels again .
