So in a city that sits in the middle of the world’s second largest land mass…..the thirty year average highs/lows are 61 and 44 degrees. But the last 10 year average highs/lows are 59 and 42 degrees. We have dropped 2 degrees from the 30 year average.
But, but say the disciples,  it’s an example of one. True. But it’s an example of one measured over 30 years. It certainly blows up the argument that there has been warming in Chicago. But Chicago is representative of the whole center of the country which gets the same climate waves. And that’s the middle of a huge land mass.
And frankly I have more faith in this data. It’s not averaging and reweighting data from totally different climate zones. Much less scope for data manipulation. It’s a brave man that accepts  homogenized data as unbiased.
In any case, it’s  a rather remarkable fact….down 2F degrees vs up 0.6 C degrees. Pretty much a 2 degree C slap in global warming’s face.
