Yesterday just counting the major countries, Europe registered 530000 cases. Germany alone reported 245000. . This is all somewhat surprising given Europe’s head start on Omicron. The US is now in the 50000 case range.

Other noteworthy numbers include 280000 in Korea where Covid is clearly in full force and Australia still clocking 35000 a day. Three countries mentioned as Covid models….Germany, Australia and S Korea….now among the worst. This disease continues to flummox the experts.

And inept South Africa is down to 1500 cases per day after a peak that averaged 26K cases per day with a worst day of about 34K.

Maybe the first world's response wasn't the best...

I was thinking about that the other day.

The US has averaged over the last 7 days.
-35,000 cases per day
-1,400 deaths per day.

So true cases must be much higher. .

The Omicron wave in the US has gone down now for months, so many of the death reporting lag would have caught up with the normalised average.

South Africa also averaged over 200 deaths per day, despite having a few thousand cases per day. (for months).

With the cold countries moving into Spring now, it should hopefully push the Covid numbers down more.

The news from my relation who works in the Covid mega lab is that we are about to get a spike in cases here. They have been told the Deltacron strain is about to hit us hard.
