Cyril is Patron of my old fly fishing club in Cape Town...The Cape Piscatorial Society and an avid fly fisherman himself.
Trout have been under attack by extreme bunny hugging preservationists in government (not conservationists) and have been declared by these arseholes as an "invasive species".
These bodies of nutters want them eradicated but the truth is they have been here for over 100 years and are no more invasive than the oak tree or Jersey cattle.
Most if not all trout fishermen are true nature lovers and conservationists and we have been fighting these extremists through an organisation called Fosaf.
At last an ally with clout that will support our cause no doubt.
That is a bonus for us flyfisherman, not to mention those involved in investment.
