There were funny things happening in the ANC as well. And some funny Members of Parliament not sworn in as expected.
There is an ANC Tribunal that dealt with devious and unacceptable conduct of ANC members and apparently that body submitted a list of 22 members that was not recommended to be sworn in as Members of Parliament. On that list were amongst others -
* Mabuza - the present Deputy President
* Mokonyane - the Minister who got a R50 000 bribe a month from Bosasa as alleged in the Zondo Commission; and
* Gigaba - the liar and crook who gave the Guptas SA citizenship and who the North Gauteng High Court found he lied to the Court under Oath and was fired in November 2018 as Minister
All three declined to be sworn in as Members of Parliament and consequently cannot be considered by Zua as Cabinet Ministers or as Deputy President. Mabuza is a surprise omission - but he has been saved from prosecution and even the New York Times claimed in an article he is a crook and allegedly behind the murder of a number of ANC members who alleged that there were contract manipulation when he was the provincial Premier in Mpumalanga.
Maybe there is something afoot in exposing some of his shenanigans and that is why he was not sworn in.
As to the appointment by Ramaphosa of the Cabinet there are huge question marks as to who would be in and who would be out, We will have to wait and see what happens by Monday.
