There is another major problem - most voters in the USA are against the present political partitions in the USA and want to see a more bi-partition approach from their representatives,
They want to see a situation agrees on issues benefitting the wider public and not a situation where the approach is based on hatred of role players in the political scene.
Take for instance the case of the Impeachment process followed by the State of the Union address of Trump. He never attacked the DP directly in the speech and he was very accommodating advancing the issue of minority and women empowerment, Yet Nancy Pelosi tore up his speech and that was very much opposed by even the normal Democrat voters.
As to political hatred it is not confined to Republicans vs Democrats - it even found its way into internal political infighting within the Democratic Party, Both signs are negative for the DP in general.
You can forget about bi partisanship.
This is a fight to the death. Will decide the future of the world. Globalism or sovereign nation states. Everything is at stake. Completely different world views and values.
