Death to England

The following about demonstration outside of the UK Embassy in Teheran:-

Dozens of hard-line militia members gathered outside the British Embassy in Iran on Sunday, chanting “Death to England,” and calling for the ambassador to be expelled and the embassy closed.

The protests in Tehran followed British Ambassador Rob Macaire’s arrest for attending a Saturday night vigil for the victims of the Ukrainian passenger plane that Iran admitted it accidentally shot down earlier this week. All 176 people on board were killed.

Macaire, who has been Britain’s envoy to Iran since March 2018, left the vigil after it became a demonstration -- but Iranian authorities later arrested him on allegations that he helped to incite the anti-government protest. 

Police released him after three hours but his arrest outraged the British government.

British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab derided Macaire’s arrest as a “flagrant violation of international law.”

“He wasn’t detained, but arrested as unknown foreigner in an illegal gathering,” Araghchi tweeted. “When police informed me a man’s arrested who claims to be UK Amb, I said IMPOSSIBLE! only after my phone conversation wit h  him I identified, out of big surprise, that it’s him. 15 min later he was free.”

Macaire denied taking part in any demonstrations, tweeting that he had gone to the event advertised as a vigil for the victims of the Ukraine airline crash.

“Normal to want to pay respects- some of victims were British,” he wrote. “I left after 5 mins, when some started chanting.

This is weird - but is Trump responsible  for that as well?

The muslim sure is a pestilence ... wouldn't it be great to find a cure for this condition.

Take one pill and behave more like a Christian ... or even better ... develop a vaccination for the young.

The muslim's in Iran who where protesting the downing of the Ukraine airliner and the subsequent lies from the Iranian government are they pestilent too?

Its fine to condemn the Iranian regime and muslim extremists but what you said is just hate speech. Whats there to sepa rate you from the protesters shouting death to England?

Must calm this down a bit.   I have many Muslim friends who are NOT FANATICS and kind and generous people.   Respect them d early and one is still my lawyer even though  he is in Stanger more or less 1 800 kms from where I stay,

I believe that there are indeed fanatics - as is in any other situation - that give the Muslims a bad name and are responsible for terrorist attacks world wide.   Those are the people I strongly oppose and even hate, 

The Shah followed a middle of the road policy and for example gave women the right to vote as well,  That policy was what the fanatics used to get rid of him.    The present Regime in Iran is  fanatical and they sponsor terrorism.   .   My view is the sooner the  people of Iran go rid of them the better,   The world will be a safer place with less proxy wars and the people would not support fanatics in future - they have learnt their lesson.   

The Iran fanatics are actually behind moist of the problems in Iraq as well.   

Trump should get out the troops from Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria asap and get them home.   I bet they will be out within the next six months.  If the countries misbehave a few cruise missiles should teach them to behave - no ground troops needed,  Also slap sanctions on them and apply those strictly,   Let the buggers stave if they did not want to listen to reason.

As an atheist I don't have a problem with political leaders being religious as long as they are moderates and are not extremists.

I'm not so sure Trump is actually that religious but he's certainly courting the extreme end of the Christian right in the US at the moment.

This was never meant to be another attack on religion at all and the fact is the comments are total nonsense about religion - which have nothing to do with what is happening politically in Iran.   Despite what the atheist fanatics think there is still leaders in the world who are religious and to come up with religion under the thread is really not acceptable. 

Anything in the center right category in politics are now made out to be right wing fanatics and that is also BS.   Trump won the Presidency in 2016 because the presidents since all Presidents since Reagan treated the working class people in the USA like shit and ignored their interests over a period of 30 years,   In hat period the standard of living of the working class declined and I states where the same people voted Democrat in the past voted for Trump not because he is a right wing fanatic - but he promised them he would look after their interests - which he ibn fact did,

The whole story about Trump being a fascist  is total BS anyway,
