Trump offered Pelosi a contingent of the national guard and she turned it down. There was no organized attack on the police. Security cameras indicated that the people had nothing to attack the police with. In the meantime why was the security camera material hidden from reports and court cases. Also they lied about 5 policemen being killed by the protestors. They gave one name - but the man was alive when the protestors were gone from the building. The fact is that the other four names were never given.
The kangaroo court show used for propaganda purposes was advertised in the media as a run up to the mid-term election and no real judicial purposes were followed. The court cases that followed was a farce too. Information was withheld from the attorneys representing the protestors, A proper judicial inquiry - not a political sideshow should have been held to look into the death of 2 protestors as well as the five policemen the Democrats lied about. It was never held and - why was that?

What nationail guard contingent is placed under the power of the United STates of America president.
Usually, the national guard is placed under the governor of each state. The chain of commandment is clear and it is unlikely that a US president may be able to offer a contigent of the national guard without a governor deciding it.
That would be encroaching the famous state rights (yeah, yeah, the very same state rights liberals keep claiming the abolition of slavery destroyed)
Maybe Trump offered to deplay the US military on the US ground (which would require a specific mandate from the US congress) Very likely he even thought of it.
