Dr Richard Maponya laid to rest...how embarassing

Probably only embarrassing to those who take Western military traditions (all armed forces, police included) seriously...and I do personally know current SA soldiers (of various ethnicities) who are very proud and serious about it.

Why do they insist on adopting our ways?

They should stick to their own way of life. A life where knowing your left from your right isn't necessary.

Where shitting in the bush is the norm.

The labourers at work squat on the toilet seats when taking a dump ... breaking the seats ... we no longer replace these broken toilet seats.

For crying out loud ... it's 2020 ... get with the program ...

...And you know each one drives around in a government scammed Range Rover.

The command “left AND right turn” was the one that got to them. They have clearly never spent any or very little time on a parade ground. 

In that specific scenario the command would be something like “pall bearers, left and right turn” because they had to march off to the same side of the grave. Obviously, being on opposite flanks of the grave, half of them would have to make a left turn and the other half a right turn. 

Clearly some of them were trying to figure out: “How the hell do I make a left and a right turn at the same time, while some of them appeared to actually have been trying to just that.

Yeah as I said it's embarrassing (and very amusing at the same time) ...it shows disrespect as well...not making sure of procedures at a solemn occasion. Just a typical summing up of crippled leadership amongst total fools who are certainly not worthy to lead, not only the services but everywhere. Mike Hoare and a couple of his mercs could take the SA Defence out, the police force that cannot catch criminals. They don't have a clue. No wonder we are in chaos. Today we were without electricity for over 12 hours...couldn't work along with many others...we are just spiralling down into a black abyss...it tears one up to see such a beautiful country turning into a hell-hole.

On our last and final trip to RSA I took a trip to my old Battalion at Tempe in Bloemfontein and was shocked to see what a shambles it has turned out to be.

Our once-proud battalion has deteriorated to be nothing better than an overgrown parade ground with "comrades" sunning themselves on the banks and weeds sprouting up everywhere.

The "Toering" behind the camp that was our start of the day run our run after each break from training plus our end of the day run has been demolished and just left in a huge heap.

The "Hanger" that was our training facility has been stripped and garbage covers everything with graffiti on all the walls both inside and outside.

Unbelievable and disturbing to see the once-proud and honorable camp in that state.

 Sad, sad to see such disrespect for a once-great outfit.

This video on the state funeral is very disturbing in more ways than just being disrespectful.

Doomed is to good a word to see what has happened to the country.

The state of the country was worse than I ever thought it could and would sink to.

Breaks my frigging heart.

So sad to see how the country's regressed.
