So, a couple of Italians scientists used SAR(Synthetic Aperture Radar) to scan the 2nd Pyramid. Here's a GPT description of what it is;
"Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) is a remote sensing technology that uses radar signals to create high-resolution images of the ground. It works by sending microwave pulses and measuring their echoes, allowing it to "see" through surfaces like sand or stone, even in darkness or bad weather."
There was recently a press release that provided the abstract of their paper.
And here is a summary of what they are saying;
Under the second pyramid at Giza there are 8 x 648m deep vertical shafts that are meters wide, and surrounded by coils(which i think might be stairs. The shafts are arranged in two parallel rows and meet at two massive 80m per side cube-like structures. From what I can gather they are also saying that the Box like structures continue on for down further into he ground.
Apparently there findings are being challenged, but it's an interesting story and if true might be a massive discovery.
Apparently the Italians are adamant that they will be looking at Hawara too, which is the known site of the Egyptian Labyrinths...an engineering marvel that Herodotus said dwarfed even the pyramids at Giza;
"Though the pyramids beggar description and each one of them is a match for many great monuments built by Greeks, this maze surpasses even the pyramids."
Here is a pic I put together what the Italians are claiming they found at Khafre's pyramid
