Evidence of a golfing god?

Nick Taylor a 36 year old golfing journeyman won the Canadian Open yesterday. He became the first Canadian to win his national open in 69 years. Noteworthy. But then when you add that he won it with a 72 foot putt for Eagle up a heavily sloped green…it becomes suspicious.

If it was a 69 ft putt we would have clear evidence of a supreme being. Are they sure it wasn’t 69 ft? But perhaps this little inconsistency is just the golfing god teasing us mortals.

One thing is for sure. You could put Taylor back at the same spot with 50 balls, hell with 100 balls  and I bet he doesn’t make that putt. Eerie stuff!

And Ferrari won Le Mans after a 50 year absence….who would have predicted that!

I should also add the Joker winning his 23rd Major, once thought impossible.
