Putin does not want any part of Ukraine,.  If he did why did he  sign two agreements guaranteeing  the border integrity of Ukraine - both sabotaged by the Biden Warmongering  Imbeciles.   He obviously did not want the Ukraine as an independent democracy with a constitution approved in are referendum and not a state controlled totally by the USA as a client state with no constitution  and no human rights as the case is at present.    The USA sabotaged both deals and now totally control Ukraine getting obedience from threats to withhold monetary assistance.    The only other issue acceptable to Europe was not for Ukraine to join NATO.     

You may ask the question of why does the USA wants total control of Ukraine?                         .
