Family secretly film life in Russian-occupied Ukraine - BBC News

The fact that a five year old is worrying about bombs and war is just heartbreaking..When I saw her gently crawl under the table and whispered," I don't want them to shoot bombs at me", that brought me to tears and truly made my heart hurt. No one should ever have to say that, least of all a child. The part of the parents whistling to cover the sounds of the war out there for their little daughter really broke me in tears...I am from Hong Kong, having been through all the nonsense stemming from oppression from China, I feel sad to see what the Ukrainians are going through. I feel angry seeing how the Russian Army is invading Ukraine, and shutting down peaceful protests. We must stand together and fight against dictatorship for the rest of our lives. Slava Ukraini!!!!That little girl is adorable, heart breaking when she talked about how the ‘robot’ wanted to kill her
Incredible story. Unfortunately, there is plenty of such stories in Ukraine because of russian invasion. Such people are our pride! God bless them! Moving to the bottom of your heart ? Glory to Ukraine ????
Lets get this straight - if the family live in an area occupied by the Russians as claimed - will the Russians bombed areas occupied by their own troops - just explain that to me please.. Would it not endanger their own soldiers by bombing such areas? In such a case would it not be the Ukraine army bombing such areas?
No
Reminds me of what Jesus says about children
Jesus turned the other cheek...we all could do with a bit of that.
Eye for an eye.....................

You did nt answer my questions -/ so I assume what y posted is just total propaganda BS again..
You did nt answer my questions
i kniw people working here , that lived in Donbass or East Ukraine . They told me different things , like there were agents from Russia that provoked rebellion . Local population forced to leave if they don't stand for Russia . And Russia started saying it wanted independence and 3 monthes later , Russia annexed those lands . Putin told that they conquered those lands . And if a region wants independence from Russia ? it ends like Grozny . Also Kherson and Zhaporhizhia were native Russian lands ? You consider Russian something that have been Russian for 200 years ? part of Crimea was under Genoa for more time , part of Russia gave been Polish or Lithuanian or Mongol for more than 200 years ,but those are still Russian land , and no one question about it . Start to rethink what is Russian , because you are wrong considering Russia something that used to be Russian one century ago .
How is it that Ukraine bombs Donbas for 8 years and not a single city is in ruins and then Russia comes liberating and in just a couple of years you have multiple cities absolutely destroyed? Mariupol, Marinka, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and many more. How does that happen?
and what about now? How are civilian casualties compared 8 years vs last two years? Also in 2021 only 7 civilians died in Donbass.
That's because it wasn't Ukrainians attacking, it was originally Russian soldiers they called "Separatists" at the time, attacking with small arms that only the military can get. They even had rare ones like pump-action grenade launchers, that's something you don't even find in war zones in the Middle East.
Russians "helped protect" Donbas, just like they "helped" Mariupol, Kherson, Severdonetsk, Lyschansk, Bahkmut, and Avdiika.
It's fascinating how half my family who live or lived in Luhansk, were never bombed by anyone until the Russian Federation in February 2022. Insane
As someone who's partner is actually from Donbas (Luhansk), I can safely say none of these people know anyone from Donbas, and that everything they think they know is complete bullshit. First of all, people have never been "prohibited from speaking Russian" in any part of Ukraine, and it's STILL the case. My partner is a native Russian speaker, and even continued to be so (until the invasion in 2022, of course). My partner and his entire extended family fled from Luhansk to the Kharkiv region in 2014 not because of "Ukrainian shelling" but because of the constant violence in the streets brought on by the armed Russian separatists who had made their way in, like a disease. And who suddenly had VERY heavy weapons they loved to use VERY liberally. This was especially a time of paranoia and distrust amongst the people living there, and the stress of these armed militants taking over the city was unbearable and felt like a ticking time bomb. They moved from Luhansk because they knew what was to come. They knew what Russia was and still is. And look what happened.
I have a friend who emigrated here 5 years ago from Eastern Ukraine. She tells the same stories of Russians (from Russia) with military weapons coming to the area and creating unrest. She said before this, things were OK. Not perfect, but OK. This is similar to UN reports and news reports. In fact, the UN did unbiased polls in the area. These polls supported that the majority of people wanted to remain Ukrainian.
Comments from the locals .
I cannot make ut what you were in that long diatibre. The civil war started in 2014 when Ukraine tried to occupy the area of Donbas. Their main targets were Donetsk, Mariopol amdn as wee resistance to he unelected America imposed Government in Kiev and the main targets of the Ukraine army and the Asov Battalion were the cities of Mariopol, Odessa and Donetsk. TNhe Civil war started in 2014 and in 2015 the Asov Battalion was reported for murder of at least 3 000 civillians in Odessa and Mariopol. Based on evidence atn the time the A sov Battalion was listed by the UN as a terrorist and mercenary organization and was then absorbed in the Ukraine Army.
At the time of the Minsk conference there were no Russian troops in the Donbas area, but Russia did provide arms to the rebels in eastern Ukraine. The Minsk agreement allowed for -
* recognition of Ukraine as an independent country with the 2015 borders of Ukraine being internationally recognised;
* that since the 2014 coup destroyed the Ukraine constitution of 1991 - a new constitution would be drafted and submitted to the Ukraine voters in a referendum for approval; and t
* that Ukraine will remain a neutral country and not becoming a member of NATO.
The agreement was signed by Merkel on behalf of the German Government. Macron for France and the then President of Ukraine and Putin signing the agreement representing Russia and by the leader of the Donbas rebels. A fter sigat ure it was submitted to teh S ecxurity Council of the UN for confirmation.
That did not stop the civil war - the
Obama Administration refused to submit te agreement to Congress and refuse to support help implementing it. Apparently the U S A had problems with the issue of the new Constitution that potentially meant that end of the USA control of the Ukraine Government.and h peace agreement was never implemented.
There were no Russian troops other than some advisors and the fact is the rebels received heir arms from Russia.
So please clarify the following for me:-
And Russia started saying it wanted independence and 3 monthes later , Russia annexed those lands .
When did that happen? Was it in 2014-.2015? Did you write he above yourself or did it come rom the Guardian?
After that clarification I will do a fiurther evaluation of your comments.
