Henry Cele became a client of the Group I once worked for. A friendly humble man with a big smile and lovely sense of humour. He lived just outside Durban and played Soccer for Bushbucks and ran a small trading store before he was selected for this role. Sadly he had a tragic ending of his short life. He was known by the name of "Black Cat" by his soccer mates and fans.

A clip of the theme song to the movie, Shaka Zulu...I think you can stream it on you tube.

Correction...he played for Black Aces...but I thought it was Bushbucks...it was a long time ago.

Cloudy he died in St Augustines Hospital a very violent man. I knew a doctor there years after it happened...they don't know the cause...some suspected Aids then but I very much doubt it. He was so violent...apparently he kicked a nurse and they had to chain him to his bed. He died soon afterwards.

It was such an undignified way of dying...could not believe it...because I met him twice at work...a tall dignified man, with a gentle, humble nature, lots of smiles and great sense of humour.

He left a big impression on me as a young man. I thought he was destined for great things.. I believe he eventually went to USA did a few lesser parts but none ever near this performance. So sad.

Here's a stream you can watch the whole film...highly recommended.

Cloudy and Becs:

The above You tube clip only takes you to Episode 4 or 5.

Do do the Citadel version...it's a fabrication later...a USA fairytale version with David Hasselhof.

Stick to the historic version.

You may wish to only watch only one Episode at a time.

Here are the rest (bottom up)

Episode 9 and 10

I remember it being about 6 or 7 hours long, Seb.

Even though I was really ill at the time, I enjoyed watching it.

I can’t imagine a series with Hasslehoff in it being particularly good !!

Typing error..."do should be don't...the Citadel version is rubbish and does a great insult and disservice to the original, which sticks more or less to history.
Becs, were you not a history teacher?
It is not recommended to watch the whole thing in one go...it is far too much but rather as it was intended as a tv series one per week/.or at the most per day otherwise you'll suffer indigestion....too much of a good thing ends up rather like overindulgence.
"Enough is as good as a feast" is an old saying that my late mother used to teach us as kids.

No I wasn’t a history teacher, Seb. But history was my subject.

We don’t do anything by halves in my family.....we watched in one go. It was challenging but we coped with it and enjoyed it.
