ships are regularly passing through the Strait of Humorz, think again. Don't be fooled by Donald Malema Trump's lies and bluster.

Travel has come to a complete stop and there's very little or nothing he can do about it unless he changes his approach to Iran.

His late night rants have become a bore. Caught in a zugzwang, he now has to rethink his military strategy or face the embarrassment of reverting to the Obama agreement.

Here, some opinions to ponder.....

'American interference' would be seen as a 'violation of the ceasefire

Ever since US and Israeli forces attacked Iran in March, the Strait of Hormuz has been largely closed to maritime traffic – risking catastrophic shortages of fuel, fertiliser and other vital supplies across the world. Trump has been battling to reopen the Strait ever since, so far with minimal success. This latest effort to reframe getting traffic moving as a humanitarian project briefly cheered global oil markets, but any hopes the presidential announcement might have some substance to it were soon dashed. Iran warned that any “American interference” would be seen as a “violation of the ceasefire”, and as Monday morning dawned, there were few signs of movement. One ship even reported being fired upon as it tried to traverse the Strait on Sunday. Trump is the leader of the most powerful country in the world. He has unprecedented power over his political party, which controls both chambers of Congress. The Supreme Court has granted him immunity to almost all legal consequences. There are, in theory, almost no barriers between Trump and whatever he wants to achieve.

Trump looks like an incompetent children’s TV villain

The reality is very different. Trump wants to build a ballroom, but is in such a rush that his plans are tangled up in legal challenges – leading him to bring it up at almost every opportunity, even claiming it is somehow essential to America’s national security. He is trying to reshape Europe in his image, but ends up having tantrums at its political leaders instead – now even threatening to withdraw US troops from Germany during an ongoing Russian invasion of a European country. He has passed almost no legislation, instead raging impotently about the filibuster – the rule requiring 60 of 100 senators to back it. He was elected promising to reduce inflation and boost the economy – and is achieving the opposite. Trump is looking less like the most powerful man in the world, and more like an incompetent children’s TV villain. In nineties Warner Bros cartoon Pinky and the Brain, the mice would come up with a new plan to take over the world every night, and each night they would end up back in the cage as failures, one of them fuming with rage. The leader of the free world is increasingly falling into that pattern. He comes up with a new, barely thought through plan to fix one of his messes – such as claiming that leading ships through the Strait of Hormuz is about humanitarian relief instead of restarting global shipping – and hopes this time it will magically resolve things, without any of the difficult negotiation work.

Restraint, discipline and patience have never been foremost among Trump’s virtues

When that fails, he spends the night raging online instead of sleeping. In recent days, that has involved posting racist stereotypes about House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, and reposting memes showing him “holding all the cards” in a game of Uno – which you win by holding none of the cards. He complains about Democrats, gives critical reviews of TV hosts he doesn’t like, and rages and blusters through the night. Perhaps this is why Trump so often seems tired and disengaged through the day, often visibly on the edge of nodding off even in public events and photoshoots. That might just be due to his advanced age – President Trump turns 80 next year – but his irregular sleep pattern cannot be helping anything. Restraint, discipline and patience have never been foremost among Trump’s virtues, but his lack of impulse control is coming to define his second presidential term. Trump seems to be trying to rule his country – and manage complex international disputes – by loudly demanding what he wants, over and over again, then growing increasingly fractious when that doesn’t work. In the first days of his presidency, Trump scored enough victories to make this pattern possible to ignore. He managed to shut down departments he didn’t like, appoint extremists to his Cabinet and introduce tariffs on a whim. But that early momentum is gone. The midterms are coming, and Trump is on track to lose control of the House, and maybe the Senate too. After that, he’s a lame duck, counting down the days until his presidency ends. If Trump feels angry and impotent now, he’s going to hate what’s to come.

Donald Malema Trump, the instigator of chaos and mastermind behind Operation Epic Fail and now Operation Zero Freedom, has once again embarrassed the most powerful military and nation on the planet. It's insane to have any confidence and trust in a childish ex property developer who is being proven to be way out of his depth.

No ships are passing through the Strait.

Yep, niks, zip.......fokol.

In a colossal blunder, he’s managed to upend the world’s economy.

Impeach the pig!

Iran should be sorted once and for all ..how long before they blink. Who is the leader ATM? ..how much support does he have?....how long can they last with the blockcade intact? Everybody acting like Iran has all the cards is comical...and Europe's pathetic non-intervention in this instance is telling...the world is reshaped before our eyes, and it's not Trump doing it... he's just the catalyst...exposing what's been there for a while now ..not surprising at all.

Iran should be sorted once and for all....Hellooooo your master has been trying to do that for the past 2 months ..how long before they blink. They are not, matter of fact they are spitting in Malema Trump's face.... Who is the leader ATM? Makes no difference, who''s holding the cards is the all important question while Trump and his administration is in chaos...how much support does he have Oh so after he's created the mother of all fuckups Europe now has to rescue him........how long can they last with the blockcade intact? At a billion dollars a day It's your master who has run out of ideas and who is creating chaos and changing plans on a daily basis Everybody acting like Iran has all the cards is comical ...there's nothing comical about an assumed to be a quickfix war costing billions and has made your master a world class comedian......and Europe's pathetic non-intervention in this instance is telling...the world is reshaped before our eyes, ...your master has reshaped the world for the worst not the better...and it's not Trump doing it... Ja of course ohno it's someone else, we know, not your your God like master...he's just the catalyst...exposing what's been there for a while now ..yeah your're right not surprising at all there is none, just shock and horror.

"Oh so after he's created the mother of all fuckups Europe now has to rescue him...."

No, he didn't create the fuckup, he shon a light on it...that fckup has been going on for over 4 decades .. Obama's deal was lipstick on a pig...meant nothing...this will end only one way...they either forget about nuclear, toll and their terrorist nonsense or the strait remains closed indefinite...and Europe, China and Japan pays more for their energy...the US too, but still less than anyone else...Trump is even more stubborn than the petulant left...but I can guarantee to you this, whatever the outcome is going to be, you and the media will spin it as some kind of massive disaster.

And the US doesn't need Europe's support in this situation, it would have been nice, but it's more telling about Europes priorities... actively opposing the US effort against a known rouge terrorist state...pandering to China and the UN skunk nations...pathetic...good to know for the future...FAFO...Not too surprised about Starmer, Macron and the Germans but Italia's backstab was a surprise...as was the deployment of troops in Greenland...they can p!$$ off Trump, Vance and Rubio at their own peril...soon find out, they will.

We’ve heard that monotonous line ‘it’s everyone else to be blamed, not our saviour’s, Donal Malema Trump’ so many many times that I know what to expect.

Who do you blame for the lack of a plan other than to drop a few bombs?

Oh I know, it's Biden's fault.

Haven't said anything about Biden...and I didn't blame Obama...at least he tried...I also didn't say I approve of what Trump is trying to do. I just agree that something needs to be done about Iran...and Blocking the Strait to enforce sanctions on them is better than bombing them in the 1st place ...should have done this from the vet go...then those girls would have been alive still...

If somebody who has done nothing can be blamed, that condemns Biden.

Draad, my blaming Biden is just sarcasm. Meaning it's always someone else other than Trump.

Glad we're on the same page....respect.

As I’ve said before, Iran is a practicing terrorist regime, and when Bush labeled them part of the axis of evil, he should have taken action. Iran must not be allowed to develop nuclear or ballistic capabilities, and the Strait must remain open for free traffic. It’s a shame this toxic regime can’t be removed.

Ja, I'm kinda surprised at your stance, I don't like military intervention anywhere and I hate that it has to be Trump who has to try and do something about them, but it has to be done....I hope he finds a way...the timing is wrong for Trump...

And no Bob, he is not even close to being a dictator...the US Constitution and government setup does not allow for it...
