The fact is that the Justice Department and FBI is in serious trouble and close to a breakdown situation since they are losing the plot completely..
A number of issues here. So lets start with the issues that is hurtling down the road to destruction for them making people believe they are self-destructing. Media leaks to the leftwing conspiracy theory storytellers - they are not deserving of being called news media - will not help them and in fact will make matters worse.

When their notes on the meeting prove to them that there was nothing Flynn said that was even remotely illegal - they decided to change the recording to as if Flynn was lying t them. They finally passed the drat to the WH where the lies were added to, In the end after legal costs were nearly bankrupted him - they forced Flynn to plead guilty in Court to lying to the FBI - by threatening to prosecute with another non-existent crime, After nearly bankrupting Flynn - there next intention was to go for his on if he does not co-operate - This is indeed a criminal thing to do. The but the scandal became clear afterwards and in the end Flynn's charges were dropped by the Attorney General.
That was not the end of the story - the F BI leaked information on the Trump administration on a constant basis Mot of the information were lies - but the bottom of the plot fell out when Mueller witch hunt could not find any evidence of .collusion between Putin and Trump and it eventually it surfaced that there was collusion between Clinton and Putin and the whole scenario had its origin in the FBI and Justice Department anyway.
There is a report out that a string of FBI and ex-FBI agent are in line for prosecution and they are going to suffer badly as a result.
The Hunter Biden Laptop
When the Laptop was delivered to the FBI two years ago and it was clear the FBI was not going to do anything about the criminality revealed on the Laptop the owner of the workshop where a drugged Hunter Biden took the laptop and afterwards forgot what he delivered a copy of the hard drive to the New York Post.
Knowing that the Laptop contained scandalous information involving Biden in bribery and corruption, the FBI sent an agent to Facebook claiming they believe that some Russian Disinformation that will be publicize and told Facebook it is Disinformation that should be banned on Facebook since publication would impact on the 2020 election. It since then became clear that the information on the Laptop was authentic - but the FBI desperately to find an excuse for not investigating the Biden family criminality.
Since nothing was done about investigation of the laptop 15 agents provided whistleblower information to the effect that the FBI is protecting criminal activities of the Biden's. The officer assigned to deal with the issue for two years and then decided to delegate the investigation to their Baltimore Field office of the FBI - weird since all the crimes involving the Biden\s took place in Washington DC. The official - a crook by the name of Thiessen - was also involved in the Russian Hoax and when the House begin questioning about criminality in that case - he was |transferred" to San Francisco he was never transferred and was just kept out of sight for a while. He was yen assigned to deal with the Laptop.
Now that pressure is growing on the FBI and on Friday last week Thiessen |resigned from the FBI and was escorted out of the FBI offices after being accused of dealing illegally with the Laptop issue.
Whether the matter is now going to be investigated is an issue and the political hunting season is open for Wray and Garland on the reevant issue.
