In the State elections in Thuringia Saxony the ruling calito in Germay got the following voting percentages in the election:-

The left                       12 seas

Socialists                      3 seats  *

*    The only party in the present federal government coalition still having seat in this  Geman  State.

Saxony

CDU                            31,9% of th vote

AfD                             30,8% of the vote

BSW                           11,8%  of the vote

SDU                        -    7,3% of the vote

Greens                    -    5,1% of the vote

The seat allocations are as follows;

CDU                       -     41 seats

AfD                              40 seats

BSW                             15 seats

Socialists                      10 seats     *

The Greens                     7 seats     *

Left                                6 seats

*     The only 2 parties  in the present federal government coalition still having seats in this state.

The next State election in Germany is in Brandenburg later this month and even worse results for the present coaition Government are expected.

The main problem for the rulng coalition parties are the war in Ukraine and that is going to cause collapse of the Federal Government sooner rather than later.  It is unlikely that the CDU and their Bavarian branch will provide any further aid to Ukraine.

And the CDU will need a coalition partner to govern nd the Socialists  and greens would be of no value.  like was he case in the past,   Looking at the above results the BSW is exteme leftist with communist elements in their agenda and unlike Maron  - the CDU will have nothing to do with them - while the Lef is the successor to the East German Communist Party - another no-no for the CD U as  coalition partner,
