End of an era.

Not ashamed to admit I welled up when I heard. Doubt we'll ever see another Queen in our lifetimes, let alone one like her.

96 and out. A truly great innings.

While I'm not a supporter of the concept of a monarchy in the 21st century, I do respect how she conducted herself in public and how well she represented the UK and the Commonwealth on the world stage.

RIP.

Her reign was one of class, dignity and grace, she's left us a wonderful legacy, one we'll never forget and one we'll always respect. Steadfast in her role from beginning to end she   never wavered in the face of  adversity ......well played.

Thanks for the memory we are richer for the experience.

RIP.

I wonder how many people in the UK ever had another Queen than her in their lifetime.   People must be over 70 years of age.   In her time on the thrown she had 15 Prime ministers and 15 Archbishops of Canterbury - Amazing really.

As  Denny said thanks for the memory.   It was indeed a great reign and an example for the people who are heads of state in  democratic countries.   As a 5 year-old I can remember seeing her parents when they were on a visit to SA in 1947 and that from a distance less than 2 meters away - I never saw her myself - but she must have been one of the most well- known people in the world normally setting an example for others.

Stavanger ... of course you wouldn't.

You have a distinct dislike of anything English.

Can't blame you ... Ireland's been England's bitch for centauries now.

As for Her Majesty the Queen ... a very sad loss ... the world just won't be the same without her.

.As Denny said ... a lady of class, dignity and grace.

The epitome of absolute true class and dignity..... what a tremendous loss

Despite everything that has happened around her, with it be privately, personally, nationally and internationally, this lady has been a beacon of light for her nation and the rest of the world...

I have nothing but huge respect for what she has accomplished during her reign.

I guess it's just too much to expect that out of respect this would uniquely be a tributes blog.

Nothing to do with it being an English monarchy, just the concept of monarchies in general. And being anti Brexit or disliking the Tory party does not make one anti English.

Considering the Queen was at the forefront of improving Anglo-Irish relations I'd imagine she wouldn't have thought too highly of your derogatory and outdated comments on relations between the two countries.

I have never been a royalist  and always for Democracy as a system of government - but believe in the English and Dutch system.   The Head of State and the Head of Government should be dealt with on a separate basis.

We have otherwise too many criminal politicians - like in the Biden case - who demeans the whole image of Head of State combined with Head of Government and in the process demeaning the whole image of Democratic Govenmance.   To my mind the Head of State should be a  person uniting the country and its people - and not like at present in many countries worldwide act like internal war-mongerers against people who oppose them.

Although there are opponents to royalty in countries with Royals as Head of State  they are normally a small minority.   Another role for royalty in the present time is patronage of welfare organizations  and moral or even financial  support of the people of the country in times of need  for such support.

Matter of fact I am sick and tired of the present system in most countries - the idea o f politicians normally is to enrich themselves and their families at the expense of the people and  they are indeed rogues that should be in jail rather  than be head of State and Head of Government at the same time.   The so-called system of Democracy has its own fundamental shortfalls that can best be descried as  abuse of the system.   Look at what happened in SA and in other Republics as an example.

In North and South America it is 90% of the time being turned into a rogue system - in Africa it is even worse.

I liked Queen Elizabeth a lot, but hold her responsible for the fact that Charles is now the King. Here is my reasoning:

King George VI became King after his older brother Edward abdicated the crown. The Church prohibit him from marrying a divorced women  Wallis Sympson.

Elizabeth was very adamant that tradition should be the guide whenever a decision is take. If she stood by this, Charles (because he married a divorced woman, Camilla) should not be King, but William should have been the new King.

Agreed Blikkies, Charles is an old man with a flawed history. None of the energy that accompanied Elizabeth’s coronation will be evident as Charles is crowned.

It could have been a boost to England to have a popular, attractive young couple succeed versus this stiff. There will be real economic consequences, a tourism boom won’t be nearly as likely with Charles.

Perhaps the Queen felt challenging succession would be too divisive and hurt the monarchy. But Charles could have acted like any other father and prioritized the future of his son, by admitting he is too old to be a new  king and stepping aside.

From what I have seen King Charkes will do nothing without due consultation with Prince William.  I think he is likely to abdicate after a year or two as King.   It is a hard job for a 70 year-old.   He may stay on as King for a few years and then like the Dutch  monarchs abdicate in favor of the heir to the throne.

Charles is hoping to re-organize the Royal Family and especially those receiving grants from the Royal Family.    He has a problem in that there are people not making any contribution to the performance of public duties,    Aside from William he will rely a lot on Princess Anne and the Count and Countess of Wessex in that regard.    I wonder whether the Count will receive the  dukedom of Edinburgh - as was apparently the desire of  both Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip,

Queen Elizabeth served her nation with faithfulness year after year. She did her best and deserves credit for her long service dedication and discipline.

Not so Charles. He is a sold out Globalist who will serve his Globalist masters and not the British people. The British people are heading for a complete disaster. The Tories and Labour form a Globalist Uniparty hell bent on destroying the country. One point proves this. No matter who is in power the borders remain open

The British people are being replaced and I see nothing on the horizon that as yet could change their fate.

Charles will only accelerate the process. He is unlikely to keep his poitical views to himself.

Charles is fully on board with the deadly Climate change hoax. He is also all into depopulization.

Unless he dies shortly or abdicates he could well be the death of the monarchy.

America still has a fighting chance because of their Constitution, Bill of Rights, 50 states, separation of powers, being armed and of course having a great leader like Trump and a number of other Patriotic leaders rising up.

America's fate and that of the World could however become desperate should the GOP not take back the House.

People around the world are rising up against the elite Globalist and the protests and could get larger and more intense this winter in Europe.

It was great to see 1 million people say the Lord's Prayer with Brazilian President Bolsonarro.

Huge protests in Europe eg Prague.

Net closing in on on those perpetrators of the Covid Genocide

The Queen once said she longed for the Lord to return so she could lay her crown at His feet.

I am not sure about her being a Globalist.

What I am sure about is that Charles is one, so is Boris and all the Tory/Labour Cabal hell bent on destroying Britain.

Vey sad about what has happened to that once great country.

Widespread censorship. Grooming of white girls, Covid BS. Destroying the economy and flooding the country with invaders.
