The Earth's climate is in a perpetual change cycle over hundreds of thousands of year. The small passage in time since we started measuring these things accurately is but a spec in geological terms and is way too small a sample to do any real accurate predictions. We're close to the top end of one of these cycles. Extreme fluctuations can be expected on the peaks of these cycles. We better hope whatever causes the massive cool-down periods doesn't happen any time soon...what have they got planned for such event?

Modern human activity might just be saving us from another massive cooldown.

So let me help. The earth is in a modest warming phase. How do we know that, well half of the 1.2 degrees the earth has supposedly warmed since the Industrial Revolution occurred before  man made CO2 was 5% of what it is today.

It’s a natural reaction to the end of the last cooling cycle. Probably added to by man’s actions, CO2 is a greenhouse gas.

But all these claims of increasing disasters tend to be false….they are the Hydroxychloroquine of climate science….anecdotal observations.

My sense is there is some ongoing warming in certain areas and probably on balance. But not everywhere. They were wearing jackets at Wimbledon yesterday. We have seen one 90 degree day so far in the Midwest, with no more in the forecast for July. Hundred degree days seem to be in the past.

And the coldest day ever in China, the world’s largest land mass was recorded in the last year. 

But if we want to eliminate all doubt, we should be converting oil fired plants to natural gas and coal fired plants to nuclear. What we are doing with electric cars is just decoration. Wind and solar are helpful, but only in some regions.
