It’s puzzling Egypt is at 67 deaths per million, whereas it’s neighbor across the Mediterranean, Italy, is at 1090. There are many loose ends in the data that will be fueling studies for years to come.
How have third world countries performed so well on Covid
We live in a harsher environment, so our immune systems are probably a bit more "flexible"/ resilient.
Part of it probably can be explained by third world countries having fewer elderly people in their populations than first world countries.
Fair point Star
Egypt - 70.8
USA - 78.54
I'd also add that...
Being poorer and in the 3rd world, to some degree, comes with natural health benefits. Less excess, more physical activity and little extreme, complex and prolonged stress. A more robust immune system and probably a more natural diet. Large areas have little/no electricity and people get way more sleep too.
Compare that with lifestyles in New York and one could guess that Africans would be more robust in terms of fighting a virus that seems to prey on physically weaker and less fit individuals.
A lso...sunshine.
Some answers:
America right now list the deaths at 303773. How many were Covid only deaths. Whatfinger.com used to report the figure but cant see it now buts it would be around 17,000
Covid deaths are vastly overstated.
Many African countries use hydroxychloroquine. This cuts hospitalizations by over 80%
Third world countries are not so stupid as to send infected people into old age homes is they have them as 4 demonrat genocidal maniacs did.

Seems they are over the spike?
Whereas 1.6 million are said to have dies of Covid 270 million could die of starvation alone according to W HO. Never mind other issues.
Africa suffers badly from TB (another respiratory disease), so it was expected that Covid would have impacted Africa more than the rest of the world.
It has been speculated that older vaccine technologies used such as a TB jab may be providing some protection against Covid. If so, Covid may not be as transmissible- and also less deadly.
People with Aids have weaker immune systems, and when combined with a severe infect TB it is very dangerous.
Why is tuberculosis most common in Africa? The unprecedented growth of the tuberculosis epidemic in Africa is attributable to several factors, the most important being the HIV epidemic. Although HIV is Africa's leading cause of death, tuberculosis is the most common coexisting condition in people who die from AIDS (see radiograph).13 Mar 2008
