So the spineless Russians who were content to allow Putin's war, now want to leave Russia because they have to go to war.

However many countries have started blocking holiday visas from Russia. The idea is to keep all the unhappy Russians in Russia to force a change of power away from Putin.

I see thousands were arrested for protesting, but it seems they were protesting about going to war rather than stopping the war.

It must be tough being run by a government that is essentially the best spies in the world. They all have links to the KGB, or what ever this has been rebranded to. So to organise a counter movement against the government would be even harder than in other countries.

Surely somethings got to give.... it has to ....and the sooner the better

The Russian people will only accept so much....I hope

Just look at these very brave Iranian ladies...... what they are doing is fantastic

How many millions of Russians would rather leave Russia?

Not sure, although I am not entirely sure what you meant.

Those aged over 50 and women will probably not be called up.
It seems it is mostly men in their 20s that are leaving. Many people are leaving Russia in cars trying to get out.

Protesters are being shipped directly to Ukraine.

I would rather worry about the deplorable situation in the US army and not go witch hunting in what the western media claim is happening in Russia,    If Russia is indeed a one-party dictatorship like you claim they are  then protests would not happen.   So make a pick as to what ithe case is.

Sure I do,    I am thinking of the FBI raiding the home of a Pro-Life person fo no reason at all other than his opposition to the Democrats and doing nothing about a number f terrorist attacks by Democrats on Pro-Life facilities causing major damage.   A sure sign of dictatorial rule in the USA.

I am also pissed off because the US solders come from the working class and rural areas in the main and those people are now ruled out of volunteering - while the terrorist subsidiaries of the Democrats like Antifa and BLM volunteers are giving special treatment.   Is politics now the main selection criteria and why in the USA?   Are they preparing an army that would be used to enforce a dictatorship in the USA like happened in Communist countries and other dictatorships.

Are the private army of 87 000 armed recruits aimed at enforcing dictatorial rule in the USA?  Why are IRS employees be armed - does it happen in New Zealand, Australia and the UK and EU?

You tell me that the above is a real basis for Democracy or a basis for dictatorial rule by the leftists and Socialists like in China, Iran and a host of other dictatorial countries.

Dumb Mike how come no matter what subject is being discussed you  always have to link it back to the democrats and its a conspiracy.

I am sure if I started to thread on burnt  pancakes you would come up with some bat shittery about Biden and the democrats being responsible.

Get a life man whats left of your brain is stuck in a loop

I never could figure that out.

A loon comes into power and because he wants his neighbors lands, I as a citizen am expected to offer up my life so he can play tyrant tyrant.

The morale in the Russian army was already bad. Now it will be terrible.

Zelensky has said that any Russians in Ukraine can quit the Russian army and are free to go.

My toilet isn't flushing, it is Biden's fault.

Somehow DumbMike is always right and he hates any form of liberalism. It is not about Biden, it is about any politician that is not far right.

He hates Democracy and prefers to live under authoritarianism, as long as it is religious authoritarianism. He loves Putin and the Russians because they say they are religious. He hates the West and liberalism

So far, this move from Putin is the best news that’s come out of the conflict for Ukraine. Perhaps he has misjudged the average Russian’s will to fight in Ukraine and continue the war. Let’s hope that’s the case and let’s hope that the miscalculation was large. Hopefully the trend continues now, with less and less Russians supporting Putin’s actions. To me, it’s always been the best way to defeat Putin…from within. I just never thought he’d play a major role in turning too many Russian’s against himself. Hopefully, some high ranking/popular/ballsy/opportunistic figure within Russia, seizes the best moment to turn on Putin’s narrative and has enough support to topple him. Let’s see.

"To me, it’s always been the best way to defeat Putin…from within. I just never thought he’d play a major role in turning too many Russian’s against himself."

I have said this for a long time already..... I said from the start that the main opposition to Putin's war would or could come from his own people....

As most are observing now..... the best and most public opposition to this war, is people fleeing Russia and despite some people denying this is happening, it very clearly is happening in large numbers.

How convenient for Putin that the Russian Nord pipeline has now burst, with a massive leak pouring out into the ocean...

What shocking and unfortunate timing.....

Something like one hundred thousand Russians are leaving each day.

Bear in mind that it is men in the fighting age group who are leaving, and their children and wife (if married).

Imagine how many people would leave if women were also getting called up.
