On October 31, 1991, 79-year-old Mary Anne Trump was mugged and beaten near her home in Queens, New York. She sustained broken ribs, facial bruises, several fractures, a brain hemorrhage, and permanent damage to her sight and hearing.[5][6] A delivery truck driver named Lawrence Herbert apprehended her 16-year-old assailant, and Donald Trump rewarded Herbert with a check that kept him from losing his home to a foreclosure.[4]

Her husband Fred Trump died at age 93 in June 1999.[2][3][4] MacLeod died on August 7, 2000 in New Hyde Park, New York, at age 88 and was buried alongside her husband and son (Fred Jr.) at Lutheran All Faiths Cemetery in Middle Village, Queens.[7] The death notice in her Scottish hometown newspaper, the Stornoway Gazette, read: Peacefully in New York on August 7, Mary Ann Trump, aged 88 years. Daughter of the late Malcolm and Mary MacLeod, 5 Tong. Much missed.[2][3][4]

We have a painting by Robert Hodgins an English/South African painter .....called Club Man. A huge figure in a yellow striped blazer, with a pile of blond hair.....all the small non club folks stare up in awe. Somebody viewing the painting called Club Man ...Trump. So the room it dominates has been renamed the Trump room. It's a hit. ..... Draad .....Trump has also made his jet availble for transporting sick kids. Many companies do this ...the company I. was involved with did so quite often. In Trump's case it's a bit different though, he owns the company so it comes out of his own pocket. ........ The Donald is a high beta stock, but unlike most politicians he is really on the job. As Gary Player said, give him a chance. Denny may prove right about his inability to deliver....but I'm hoping for the best. We need an effective USA in world affairs.

 Moz, I love American politics but above all I've always had an interest in the American President...oh well starting with  JFK. I enjoyed Pence's address the other day to NATO and I hope Trump delivers in the rust belt and wherever those dear people need help, I note the DOW has gone north....all good. I also note chaos in the White House and a president trying to cosy with Putin the thug.Not good.

Not good if true.....I agree. But he denies he has had any contact with Putin beyond the standard calls after the election, which were recorded as we saw in the case of Oz. And no other evidence has been offered, not for want of trying. I'm keeping my powder dry and remain, perhaps unwisely, optimistic.
