Most of you are older gents, enjoying your retirement.

And instead of being able to chill and take in all those golden years with no stress, the world has been an unadulterated clusterfuck for the last decade. From the woke madness to COVID, Russia/Ukraine, then Israel Palestine and now the US and Israel invading Iran.

It went from relatively stable to mad money printing to mega inflation and now AI is here and I know a lot of you are worried about that too.

So I just wanna say I'm sorry for how things are and we all deserve to live in a better world. I know all of you worked hard, I know I'm still working hard, and we don't deserve to live in a world like this. It could obviously be worse and we could be living in Ukraine, Russia, Israel or Palestine.

Lets hope there is some good news on the horizon and the world comes to its senses at some point.

Have a lekker weekend boys.

Coexistence with evil has been wretchedly inescapable since the beginning of time.

I have sometimes tried to think what it was like for prior generations. But I doubt daily life has ever changed as much as it has with ‘the phone is everything’ change . I refuse to ever take it on the golf course, one needs some separation.

Plum... I'm not sorry...I regret that the war is happening...and I morn the people dieing in Iran, Ukraine and elsewhere...an old Chinese curse said: "May you live in interesting times"...to me it's not a curse, but a blessing...

I grew up during the height of Apartheid...bombs going of in the country every other day...landmines set for farmers, cousins on the border fighting a real war...poor kids getting caught in the crossfire ... horrible times...I lived in Worcester when the bomb went off in Shoprite...but I was also in Stellies when Nelson visited the campus right after he got out of prison...things were bad back then, but we had hope, we survived and we adapted...a lot of things got better....there are some bad things happening now, but we will adapt and go on. The ANC won't rule forever...and things will normalize again in the ME and Ukraine...life is what we make of it... I'm 54. I had a great life up to now and I've got some very interesting years ahead of me, God willing...life is what you make of it... I'm having a ball. Chin up.

Yes, for some things, just leave it in the car or at home.

We’ve gained a lot, but also lost a lot, it could be so much better—too bad we can’t go back and revisit the passing of the baton.
