I saw some media reports with headlines about Mariupol

The Azov battalion was defending Mariupol together with other soldiers of the Ukraine Army.   After being promised support foces to the defeat the Russians ni support was forthcoming so the soldiers nt part of the said Batallion tried to flee from Mariupol - but was found by the Russian Army and the refugees surrendered to he Russians.

The next story in the media was that the Russians have now taken the wounded at the steel mill in Mariupol  to Russian hospitals for treatment.   Since they are part of the Azov Battalion - that committed war crimes against citizens themselves - it is highly unlikely that they would be released after treatment.    According to a report by a French medical assistant who went to the Ukraine and worked together with the Azov Battalion, the battalion soldiers got Russian Prisoners delivered to them and on arrival they shot each prisoner in the knee and ask them  a questioon - Who is that officer? - and if the prisoner answered or not they then shot the prisoners in the Head.  The said volunteer afte witnessing what was really happening and made a video of the incidents he saw left the Ukraine disgusted by what he saw.         

Although the above were covered by the headlines there were few fact about the situation other than Zelenskyy now trying to get the rest of he Azov Battalion still at the steel mill out of Mariupol by negotiation - but the chance of the Russians agreeing on that is remote.   

I am not sure the above is true - since it is widely reported (also on this site) that the Ukraine Army has defeated the Russians and they are fleeing from Ukraine, while the Mariupol situation indicates otherwise.

What does supporting Ukraine have to do with being a coward? Many people support Ukraine, cowards or not. 

Apparently, 33% of the Russian army used in the Ukraine war has been destroyed. Perhaps 15,000 people or more. If that is what it would take to be brave, I would rather be a coward that is alive, and not dying for Putin.

Also, attacking innocent people by invading their country is not really my idea of being brave. It is being a bully.

I asked a simple question - how does the practical situation in Mariupol co-inside with the stories flooding the media that the Russians have been defeated by the Ukraine army?   Surrender by the Ukraine army in Mariupol  indicates otherwise..

Why is Zelsnskyy trying to get the Azov Battalion to be given  freedom to be evacuated  from Mariupol if the said battalion won the battle in Mariupol?

The latest fable is how the Azov Battalion k illed senior Russian officers in Mariupol while they are confided to the steel mill area and the wounded soldiers from the mill is being treated in Russian Hospitals.     That makes it sound like  the Ukraine troops are in total charge of Mariupol - which it is not.      The press stories about the great victories of the Ukraine troops are all propaganda BS.   If their were any the Ukraine army have not been able to get the Russian troops out of the areas they occupied initially and those remain occupied.
