US President Donald Trump has admitted he had a misguided view of the relationship between Ukraine and Russia and that he thought the war would be easy to end.

“I thought that Ukraine and Russia have a very good relationship with President Putin,” he said.

“I thought that that would be much easier, I thought that would be in the middle of the back, maybe one of the easiest – sometimes you never know with war.

“What a mess. What a bloody mess.”

He neglects to mention that, as the leader of the free world, he contributed to the mess by appeasing Putin and displaying hostility toward Zelensky in front of a global audience.

So there, without any real knowledge of grassroot issues the Goose promised to fix the problem on his first day in office.

In 2019 Zelenskyy in his campaign for election was using a main campaign promise that he would end the civil war uibn Eastern Ukraine through negotiation with Putin - but the USA under the Autopen Presidency would have none of it. In fact it went back also to the Democdrat majorty in the Senate, Shortly after the 2019 election in Ukraine - Senator Menendez as Chair of the Foreign Aid Senate Committee - who had to sign off on all foreign ad programs - visited Ukraine and that was he last we heard from Zelenskyy about peaceful sttelement of the Ukraine Civil War,

So there were no probems at the time to negotiate a peace settlement between Russia and Ukraine then. So Trump thought in view of the Zelenskyy campaign that there were a chance of negitations to end the Ukraine War,

Since the the open sabotage of any attempt at negotiations between Russia and Ukraine at one stage when Trump was President. It went further - when a ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia in 2022 in Istabul negotiations was agreed on - the village idiot Blinky instructed the Ukraine Foreign Mnister to not initial the agrement and leave Istanbul that day. There were also an agreement negotiated by Macron to prevent the War signed by Zelenskyy and Putin - but vetoed by the Autopen.

Looking at the above their would seemingly be no problem in setting in motion peace negotiations. However, the negotiations failed and what will happen next is to be seen,

I have seen no compelling argument that supports the effectiveness of being tough, within the bounds the West is willing to be tough, which excludes direct participation. Making it easy for Putin to be conciliatory still seems like a reasonable thing to try.

So let look at what Putin is playing at present - so Putin could be involved in two ways as toa preace deal as to Ukraine:-

1. He knows that Trump is lead ing a united aprocach by NATO as to the Ukraine War and liaises with China, India and the Chinese subsidiary North Korea as his united front against the NATO approach as to strengthen his hand in future neotiations.
2. Putin has gone crazy and now wants WW3.

I suspect the latter is not the case and Trump and the West would realize it and dig in their heels on their demands and Trump worked out a way that the issue ends u[ more favouable from a negotiation perspective than Putin has in mind.

The fact is that while Putin is hughlighting the situation in Beijing and we will have to wait and see what happens during the next week, I think there is in fact negotiations seems to be ongoing and Trump's remark on Putin's conduct is applicable as part of the NATO strategy. At this stage both are playing hardball for the time being,

Trump has another approach as well - hs first strategy is to determine what he will do in a furthr US led startegy nd that relates to a effective sabctions situation where not only a united NATO strategy complies with and what plans should be in place that the USA itself can do to prevent breaches of such sanctions and that is where Russia is weakened, Rusian exports though usage of ships are indeed limited, The Black sea route can be cut off ny closing of "la Bosphore" - while the Baltic Sea rout unusable for about 6 monnths a year van be easily closed/ That leaves only the White Sea area usable only 4 months a year when the Sea is not frozen up and Vladivistok 6 000 kms from Moscow on the Pacific Ocean usable for Russian exports on a regular basis,

So we will have to wait and see what happens next before making real deductios on the way forward/ My own guess is that Putin is not an idiot - he knows what is at stake, The effects may be different from what the medisa claims at present,

I am not sure the end game has been played in the negotiation process, Wittkov is in Moscow at present he is definitely there to deal with continued negotiations and not went there without the involvement of the Russians in the negotiations continuing.

Both sides are playing hardball at present. Something will have to give in and in this case it ill be Putin. Fact is in all cases dealt with between 2017 and to date Putin was the one who lost the argument despite the media lies to the contrary and this is going to be the case of Ukraine as well.

When President Donald Trump was reminded in an interview with Time magazine this week that he had said he would end the Russian war on Ukraine on “day one,” he claimed he hadn’t been speaking literally or seriously.

“Well, I said that figuratively, and I said that as an exaggeration, because to make a point, and you know, it gets, of course, by the fake news [unintelligible]. Obviously, people know that when I said that, it was said in jest, but it was also said that it will be ended,” Trump said, according to Time’s transcript.

This “in jest” claim is a lie.

On the campaign trail in 2023 and 2024, Trump said on dozens of occasions, in an entirely serious tone, manner and context, that he would end the war in Ukraine either within 24 hours of his return to the White House or even sooner than that. He said over and over again, including at both presidential debates of 2024, that he would have the war “settled” when he was president-elect, before his inauguration.

A Friday search of the Roll Call Factba.se database that catalogues Trump’s public remarks turned up at least 53 examples of Trump making such comments.

It’s sometimes hard to determine the intent of a politician’s one-time ad-libs, but this was no jovial ad-lib. Rather, the promise of a rapid end to the war was a sober staple of Trump’s pre-written rally remarks. He framed the promise as a key component of his second-term agenda, and he justified it with claims about his “credibility” as a leader, his history as a “peacemaker,” and his knowledge of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Trump sometimes emphasized that he was speaking literally, scoffing at critics who said he couldn’t end the war that fast. “I’ll get that done within 24 hours. Everyone says, ‘Oh, no, you can’t.’ Absolutely I can. Absolutely I can,” he said at one July 2023 rally in Iowa. We all know what Trump said about ending the War in Ukraine that was co-ordinated by the Autopen Biden Administration and fed corruption in both Washington and Kiev.

You apparently love this War in which hundreds of thousands of people died and oppose any effort to stop the War. That person must never be Trump - who tried to stop the War therouh negotiations and every time their is an obstacle in negotiations you cheer as if our life depends on it - so let the people in Ukraine die as long as it fits your crazy idea that the War must be fought on behalf fo the USA where under the Autopen controlled corruption became the norm.
