America then Trumputin divided it even more so it was really great seeing an attempt to heal at McCain's funeral. Keeping the elephant out of the room and having ex President's from both parties delivering moving speeches set the tone and direction for the country to come together. Of course it won't last, not while the classless rich egocentric hillbilly holds sway.

Ah yes the George Bush support for John McCain....but there is this: Meghan McCain said she backed Democrats for president in the past two elections because of attacks against her family in 2000 that she attributed to George W. Bush. McCain, on Fox News's "Hannity & Colmes" on Tuesday, said she voted for Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) in 2004 even though she's now a supporter of her father for president. "I can be behind my father all day every day until the end of time," McCain said. "I just couldn't get behind President Bush. I just couldn't. It's personal." She added: "It had to do with my little sister, and like, you know, you were just saying that the wounds of a political child run really deep. And there are things that I don't know if I'll ever completely get over." Many voters in the 2000 South Carolina GOP primary falsely believed that John McCain's youngest daughter, Bridget McCain, was born out of wedlock and that John McCain's wife, Cindy McCain, was a drug addict. Bridget McCain was adopted from an orphanage in Bangladesh. Bush defeated John McCain in that primary, effectively knocking him out of the race. McCain's allies have accused Bush's campaign of coordinating a smear campaign.

HasBeen I'm more cynical than you chaps on all these guys. But I have the advantage of meeting a few. Lots of this stuff is just theatre. Half of the Republicans would be Democrats if that was their natural power base, and vice versa. Trump is different, which is why he is the natural enemy of all. And unfortunately he grosses out large swaths of the population, including many who share his views. He is a particular type of old school New Yorker. But he likes people and by all accounts is a generous man. So it's a series of contradictions. My own view is he deserves a fair shot....same thing I believed when Obama was elected. And he's not getting one....his whole first term is going to be marginalized by an unjustified investigation. It's shameful really.

Moz they hate Trump because he is destroying the Globalist NWO. These American Globalists are exactly like their European counterparts who want to have open borders and the destruction of Western Democracies. Trump understands all this as one clip i saw some months ago said as much. As did his speech in Poland which was brilliant.

America has had a string of these globalist presidents and they have worked for decades getting everything in place. then along comes Trump and starts to undo all they have set up. Hillary had vt in the bag and would have taken America to a point where no recovery was possible and the surrender of American sovereignty would have proceeded at an accelerated rate. But Trump wins!

They have used the deep State to try and prevent him winning the presidency and had an insurance plan to get rid of him should he win. All the evidence of this is now at hand These scumbags have been attempting a coup and MUST be dealt with.

Appears now that the day President Trump orders the Justice Department and FBi to hand over the documents required by Congress in unredacted form is not far off. Then watch what happens!

Meanwhile the MSM continues their part in the Coup apart from Fox. You have Hollywood in the Globalist pocket and of course Academia. America is fighting for its life

That is a good point, Mozart.
Politicians are salespeople, and many would jump ship to another political party if they felt that it would further their own personal goals.
When the UK had elections Nick Clegg was prepared to accept any deal for a coalition government- as long as he became the deputy prime minister.
In countries where there are 2 dominant political parties- there is often more similarities than differences in their views. Usually one is more right wing, and the other more left wing- with sometimes the best solution somewhere in between. The parties take turns every 4-8 years of being the dominant party.
As for Beeno, a simpleton with his globalist conspiracies.......

If we think of politics as a career, rather than a calling it becomes easier to understand the motivations. As for globalism, it has it's adherents in some countries and institutions. But national tribalism is not dead....witness any major international rugby match. Who wants to live in a world where everybody is the same. But in truth the Globalists aren't the biggest issue....their agenda is obvious and there is the natural backlash in countries like Italy and Germany, which has already restored the balance to some extent. The biggest issue may be the influential role of shadow governments, the installed bureaucracies that transend and survive the goverments in power. That seems to be one of the early findings from the Trump investigation. Some remarkable things were done to tilt the scales and have probably been done for years. These moles can't be easily fired and don't seem to answer systematically to any elected official......they are entrenched behind the real need for secrecy in some but not all cases. The only effective way to ensure the people's work is done is for these roles to be reserved for people of great integrity. Some surely are but not all, and it's hard to see how politics can excluded. Fascinating stuff which has finally been flushed out because of the Trump probe.

You dont thing Chump has his own agenda?

The man is an egotist that is only in it to inflate his ego. There is little i have seen that says he is there to improve the life of the average man.

Unfortunately politics are laden with people just like him. Even those who enter politics with the rught ideals are soon corrupted by the nature of politics.

The big thing about chump he didnt enter politics for this reason. Simply to boost his self esteem

"Imagine what that buffoon  would have said if he got up for a eulogy"
I can guess it would have gone something like this:
"John McCain wasn't a hero. I like heroes that weren't captured. Believe me! I know a tremendous amount about military. The best stuff. Tremendous stuff! Better than anyone else . . . believe me! That's because I'm a genius and everyone's favourite President. John McCain tried to become president but he failed because he was a loser. I'm a winner and I won the election . . . it was tremendous . . . and there was no collusion! No collusion at all. Believe me! This is all a witch-hunt started by the Fake News media. And what about Crooked Hillary's e-mails? I am tremendously tremendous and John McCain should be honoured to have such a tremendous genius saying such tremendous things at his funeral. The Fake News media say a lot of bad stuff about me. A lot! Really a tremendous amount of Fake News but there was no collusion. Believe me! They should be investigating Crooked Hillary's e-mails but instead they're trying to make me look bad. Tremendously bad . . . but I am the greatest president the world has ever known. Believe me! I am tremendous and a genius. Not like this dead loser McCain. No collusion! Believe me! And what about Crooked Hillary's e-mails?"

The average man is way better off, witness the Consumer Sentiment index, the only systematic measure of how people feel about their lives. It's up from 87.2 in the month before Trump was elected, to 98.2 currently, although it's been even higher. Unemployment is down to 3.9%, the lowest level since the early 1970s when America was a much more industrial economy. These are not opinions, they are facts.
